I’ve gotten more tickets in my Tacoma’s than that car. I’m doing something wrong.

I want something with a 2JZ in it real bad. I have had or driven everything but a 2JZ car or a Rotary car and I don't want anything to do with anything Rotary. The 2JZ is the only real performance drivetrain I desire that I haven't either owned or driven. Well, with the exception of exotics. There are still some exotics on my hit list but those really don't count. LoL

I’ve never driven a rotary but I have ridden in one. The weirdest part is you have 2x the rpm range of a normal car. You also gotta pay attention to your oil since by design they burn some.

    the jz is awesome

At some point I will either own something with one in it or I will swap a 2JZGTE into something. It's also one the rare performance platforms I haven't tuned on yet. That will change at some point. I've tuned everything from Stock Civic's to 1000+ HP race cars. But haven't had the chance to play with a 2JZ.

When I was a mechanic back in the mid `70s, I drove a rotary powered Mazda mini-pickup with the two rotor rotary engine in it. I worked at Forest Hills Motors on University Ave. in Waterloo, if you were around W`loo back then. It was their parts pick-up vehicle. It was a gutless wonder, no low end torque, LOL. Once you got it up to full song, it was great, but it took a long time to get there.
