Using carplay and spotify the quality is perfect for my factory JBL system. It's no Burmester setup so it doesn't require anything of higher quality.

I do, however, plan on adding a sub and amp. The factory system does OK most of the time but weezes out on real deep bass.

 

yes, some of the early 2000s had some tampering code when the illegal file sharing stuff was big out there, but i only have a few of those i think

why would i ever buy the digital MP3 crap when i already have physical media

 

The paper cone speakers don’t do it any favors. I swapped all mine out a long time ago (check the $200 audio upgrade thread) and added some dynamat. Huge difference

still running factory head unit.

 

it has no problems encoding the media that is not WEA though which is weird, 9 minutes to wait is such a drag!!! when it should take less than 3min

 

If it takes 3 minutes, it’s just copying off the disk. If it takes longer, it’s reencoding

it depends what the source files are..

but why just warner music on Win7 is what i don't understand, and same thing on Win10

thats what I did in my truck a couple years ago. Got everything from crutchfield

 

Maybe you should try putting them on cassette instead to see if that helps.

 

i have plenty of those from like the 1980s

 

should be dubbing from vinyl for optimal quality

 

i have some cool stuff taped off the local radio waves in the mid 80s that i have on the backburner to convert to digital, just have not gotten that far yet

 

You can probably find it in far better quality today than your tape recording off the radio. Lol

It’s pretty easy. Just make sure the cables for the door handle are fully inserted and latched when you put the panels back on... some people neglected that and then couldn’t get the door open lol

 

I mean... it doesn’t have to just be J Berry. I have some others I like too. But I’ll leave them out of it

Windows 10 doesn't even have disk drivers. That may be part of your problem.
