That. Plus no one ever said a Gallardo was the drag queen.... Just an overall kick-ass car (that'll Outlast anything built by Government Motors)

Oh you were so close..... Lol

Tell that to all the Silverado owners with well over 100k miles on there stuff. I have a buddy in Chicago that uses a 400k+ mile Silverado to tow every day. He's basically a "hot shot" but over short distances.

You're going to be able to find owners from any manufacturer who have cars or vehicles that last a long time. But if you look at overall manufacturing trends, GM is not winning any awards in recent years for longevity and reliability. It's just a fact, mate.

On that same token I have a buddy who had an '08 Silverado that kept shutting off while he was driving on the highway. No warnings or indications it would just turn off randomly. GM fixed his truck three times and he finally got fed up with it and trade it in. He currently drives a 19 Tundra and could not be happier. biggest thing he likes about the Tundra is the fact that it doesn't turn off while he's driving on the highway.

What is wrong with this thread? Whenever I stop in I see more stupidity than the time before. Roth IRA invests money that has already been taxed, it grows tax free, and withdrawal in retirement are tax free. Traditional IRA or 401k invests pre tax money, and you pay taxes on your distributions in retirement.

A government conspiracy is even more ridiculous. How does it help the government to leave you with no money when you retire? The government would love for you to be flush with cash, and spend it on all sorts of shit to boost the economy. This is much better for the government than having you broke at 65 and leaving them to foot the bill for you until you die.

You're not wrong. I'm not "brand loyal" really, so I have no dog in that fight.

However, one further point, a stock C6ZR1 will smoke a Gallardo on a road coarse as well as the drag strip. A C7 ZR1 will smoke just about anything short of a 720S, Senna or 911 GT2RS.

Edit: I guess my point is they are extremely impressive for the money they cost. Like I said before, in my opinion Porsche > * when it comes to sports cars.

Eh I bet the road course would really depend on the driver.

There's a few track lap records from a few years back at the Bowling Green Corvette track that are held by F-430s.... :anonymous:

Roadcourse always depends on having a decent driver. However, the Corvette (C6 and C7 ZR1's specifically) are faster all around. They accelerate faster, brake harder and corner harder than a Gallardo. The only advantage the Gallardo has is getting out of the corner and it's not enough to overcome the rest of the Vette's advantages. A C6 ZR1 is easy to drive at nine-tenths. A C7 ZR1 takes a bit more of a driver to drive hard.

I'm not sure what lap records you're referring to, but there isn't a single Ferrari in the top 10 currently at NCM (Bowling Green).

All the Torque all the time! Love me some EV's. Can't wait until they get the range stuff figured out.

You can only put $6000 annually into a Roth IRA anyway... that’s 1/3 of a traditional IRA.

invest your money somewhere else if you don’t like it

social security will disappear by the time I’m that age so I guess you can enjoy the rest of us paying for it

If we can have like a 100 mile range at WOT I'm 100% sold on a electric sports car. If I could afford a Tesla or a Porsche I would be ALL over it.. The Taycan is an amazing car. The P100's are amazing as well, but I have to believe that Porsche's build quality and overall engineering have to be better.

Yup. A few years ago (back when the F-430 was still a modern contender) that wasn't the case. A few nuts doing autocross really pissed the Corvette drivers off. Don't think they were official but the time still stood for a hot minute. I got to be witness to one of the runs and it was utterly fantastic.

That’s the problem right now. 2-300 mile range blows and only works for people commuting. You can’t do a road trip with that.

I’m in for 500+ mile range. Hello cyber truck.

Yeah, has to be 500 mile range and has to have better range at high load.

That’s what’ll be interesting. They can get towing capacity, that’s no problem. But if the range is now like 100 miles, that’s not super useful.
