I don't think they really care even though it is technically illegal per Iowa code.

I don't have a front license plate, I have 30% window tint, and no mud flaps, haven't been bothered about any of it once. I've come to the conclusion that if you don't give cops another reason to pull you over, they won't bug you about stuff like that. (knocks on wooden desk)

Haha isn't that the truth. I have 30% window tint as well and covers on my plates so you can barely read them. No body bothers me. But then again my truck doesn't give off that rule breaker vibe with a flatbed and dnr plates.

Good to know since I probably won't run a front plate and am going with 20% tint up front.

Yeah, just drive the speed limit, use your blinker, and don't act like a fucking idiot on the roads, our trucks don't attract a ton of attention. I got a ton of flack in the Bimmer I used to have...

When the Tacoma doesn't satisfy my need for speed it sure is. It's an 89 fastback with a 347 striker and 5 speed manual.

Excellent, I love Mustangs, nothing beats the sound of a 302 running through a couple magnaflows. The wifey told me I could get one after the wedding as long as its a convertible.

dont' do the convertible. I think they are ugly as piss. I do however love the late 80's early 90's mustangs.

It's either no mustang, or mustang convertible... I choose mustang! Probably end up with an early 2000's just for budgetary sake... Not my favorite, but I'm also not going to plunk down 20k just for a weekend fun car.

Ah convertible is of course a woman's choice. Just get a hatchback with a sunroof. There is practically no roof if you take the sunroof out.

I have been pulled over twice for front window tint in two years. First time was a ticket and second time was a warning. After the second time I removed the tint the same day. I also got pulled over for not front plates and got a $90 ticket for that. Every time I was pulled over it was a state trooper. I drive the speed limit or up to 5 over about 90% of the time. I have never been pulled over in my beat up 85' 4Runner that has tube doors, noticeable cracked windshield, no front plates, and probably other things they would tell me is illegal. I guess you just never know when and where they will decide to pull you over.

Those pooper troopers are the ones who pull you over for everything. It seems like city cops and sheriffs could care less most the time.

I drove my '89 Honda CRX for 10 years with front tint at about 30%. They never bothered me for the first 8 years. In the last 2 years I had it i think I was pulled over 4 times for window tint and only for window tint. Just depends on what cops see you.
