My work in progress....I'll post more when completed

Edit: I think I'm going to sell this one since it isn't going to work out the way I wanted. I intended to install a CD player behind it that you'd be able to access with the iPad removed (like the ones made by Soundwaves of Tampa) but the pan is situated too far left to make the proper opening. This would be fine if you're not making a system like that. If someone's interested in it I'll finish it

I've had some interest in my system. If you want me to build you one, I might build a few. Head unit deleted, bluetooth and docking capabilities. You would need to buy an amp for the speakers. Pics were before the dash piece was completed. That's the volume knob in the middle.

Why not use a Audison bit Ten system? Then you could try and flush mount it where your current volume knob is. You also wouldn't have to open the center console to adjust the bass what not. My brother has one and its pretty cool!

audison bit ten would work perfectly but not the most cost efficient solution, i know a coupe other ways to connect the ipad without dumping $400+ on a bit ten.

The Bit-ten is good, but I don't like the way it looks like a secondary unit. I wanted my system to look factory as possible.

SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! Actually I'd want for a Android model like a Nexus or whatever. I wonder when the aftermarket industry is going to catch up and start making dash surrounds for mini tablets. Stock car stereo's are getting so nice that the only upgrade is....a tablet.

do they have the ipad as just an "AUX" into the headunits in these applications? I see that you are running an external headunit as well

Here is my iPad mini dash - I used a double din dash kit and a Soundmanca.com side slider kit. Let me know what you think. The Kit was 199 on there website, and I have it charging in the dash, but using BT to connect to the radio
