do they have the ipad as just an "AUX" into the headunits in these applications? I see that you are running an external headunit as well

Here is my iPad mini dash - I used a double din dash kit and a Soundmanca.com side slider kit. Let me know what you think. The Kit was 199 on there website, and I have it charging in the dash, but using BT to connect to the radio

I think a final product would be: A head unit that is shallow enough to have a flip up/or down...tablet mount, and the tablet mount in front of it. Would be sold as a kit. You still need a head unit to act as an interface with the truck and to make occasional adjustments. But the majority of your time will be on the tablet.

On a side note: if anyone here plans on buying a 2011 Ford Fiesta with Ford Sync, expect to be disappointed. I have to re assign the audio connection to bluetooth every time I get in and out of the car. It will automaticly pick up the bluetooth, but it won't automaticly start playing music from where it left off. I have to give it the audio command "bluetooth audio" every time. STUPID. And besides the interface sucks. So close..yet...so far.

This was my first attempt at making a dash piece but I don't like the way it fits.
