Hey OP! This is my very first time on this forum. Ive been looking to install some mini iPads into my headrest on my 2013 Tundra. Been googling about everything on it and came up seeing your Tcao pics on google images. I just finish reading all 14 comments pages for this installation and I am interested in ordering a kit from you if its still possible. My gf has a Tacoma so Im gonna do this for her Bday! Can you get back to me when you can. I really don't know how this forum thing work or the PM thing works as kept seeing it in all the comments...again this is my first time being on a forum!! Thanks bro and awesome jb on the install and the video! Looking forward to hearing from you! Aloha!!

Hey everyone, so...I've been gone for a while.. This is the first time I have logged back on to TW for quite some time and I had a bunch of PM's and new posts on this thread for my install and was actually quite blown away to see how many views and posts have been made on this :) I don't want to sound like I'm bragging or putting anyone else down either but of all the other iPad mini installs I have seen I still like how mine looks the best (but of course I have to be partial to my own work haha). Anyway, I have been REALLY lazy and never got around to making more of these to sell so other Taco owners could impress their passengers and get the "wait.....IS THAT AN IPAD IN THERE!?" response (never gets old haha). So what I'm saying is I'm about to bring this thread back to life and start making these to sell. Currently the kit I can make will only fit the 2005-2011 model Tacoma's so keep that in mind. I may venture out and try fabricating one for the 2012+ models if I'm feeling ambitious and find a local 2012+ Taco owner that would let me use their Tacoma to check fitment and such. Also, I have started going back to school so my time will be semi-limited for when I will be able to work on these so keep that in mind as well. Before I can really start taking any orders though I am going to need a chance to do a quick write up for the magnet installation as that part will have to be done by you. I know a lot of you were pretty excited about this when I first got the post up and pretty let down when I disappeared.. and I really don't know how many of you are still interested in a kit like mine so I guess first off I should gauge the room on the interest level. You can send me a PM if you'd like or post your interest in the thread and I will do my best to keep a list so I know what I'm going to need to prepare myself for. If you have question just ask and I'll do my best to be an active member of TW again!

    -Steve

The price would be $300 and I don't know about doing group buys because I don't know how quick I will be able to pump them out

Ok cool guys I'm gonna try to get the write up for the magnets done this weekend and order the parts/paint and hopefully have everything by next weekend to start making them. Oh another thing I was just reminded of when I said paint...I am only making these in black right now. I use SEM paint and don't know which silver color matches the stock silver in the Taco and each spray can is like $15 so it's kinda pricey to just experiment with trying to find the right one. If someone else knows which silver SEM paint matches the interior let me know and I will try a can, but you can't be mad at me if it doesn't match exactly haha

    Looks good OP.

So, after having had this system in place for a few months or more, is it all working well still? Is the iPad interface too clunky and hard to control? Any new glitches.

I like the idea of a big touch screen, but there is something to be said for having actual knobs and buttons in a vehicle. It's a pain in the ass, and not always safe, to be banging away on a touch screen while driving. Hmm...

Could any manual controls be hooked into the system?
