It looks bad ass but I would have to agree. If you’re looking for DVD/NAV..etc I would just go with a double din. I just put in an Eclipse AVN 726E and I love it. Plus in the long run it would save some $$ for whatever else you wanted to do.

Looks way more intuitive and user-friendly than my Double-DIN Kenwood DNX9960. And by "way more" i mean "1,000% more." And the damn thing retails for $1,800.

I would trade my DNX9960 for an iPad installed.

Cool, but no FM reception would be a deal killer for me. I lose cell service in a lot of places I camp and hunt, forget about streaming anything on 3G.

I wouldn't mind having something that would completely integrate my iPhone with the touchscreen, but having just the iPad seems like it would be missing key features that I want.

I doubt it is very readable in the direct sunlight..too much glare.

Instead I could do a full carputer for the same price as that iPad (which is far more customizable, a more powerful, and NOT uber expensive because it has an apple logo on it.

If you got the money, do it. I think it would be amazing. The amount of cash you would spend on a system with
the current top of the lines from Kenwood and Pioneer, plus the amps and speakers would be about the same, probably
    more.

I would hands down do this install, the iPad with the App store hands down shuts out anything the current market leaders
could produce. Looking at the installers earlier videos, he made it so the iPad maintained its portability.

Worried about the glare throw a AG film on it Wish this would have come out
before I put my DNX9140 in my truck. Can't wait for version 2, maybe then ha.

Camper top with racks, Custom fogs behind lower bumper. Interior LED lighting, Rock Lights, Hella 500s with upraged bulbs behind black billet grill, AAL, Front 5100s
Played with the idea. In the end you are tethered to the 3G network, so using it for nav and Pandora would be limited.

You know i voted bad idea, but if it was easily removable, i would do it in a second. My ipad is wifi only, but it would be pretty neat regardless.
