Yes, when we were all were using IOS 12, this was never a problem. As soon as we all went to IOS 13, everything started to go bonkers.

Stay away from any version of IOS 13, if you can.

I’m still on iOS 12.3.1, no issues on my iPhone XR. Be nice if Apple didn’t make it such a pain in the ass to downgrade your software.

Don’t know if it’s been metioned but, i have an iPhone X running 13.2.2 same issues as everyone else radio reboots constantly. I mainly use my Bluetooth for music but I figured out if you click “select device “ on the Bluetooth menu and disconnect it as a phone and only leave it connected as an audio player it completely stops rebooting and operates normally. hope this helps someone.

Always wait to upgrade your iOS until the latest bugs are worked out. As the OS evolves and expands and more features are added more and more bugs come about. The last couple OS’s they’ve had some major bugs during/after launch. Unfortunately since I got a new device I didn’t have the option to keep running the older OS this time around.

This is my 1st iPhone and what a pain in the ass. How hard is it to connect with Bluetooth. Isn’t this technology old and been around for awhile? I can’t connect to my Kenwood radio in my work truck at all. Sorry I switch from Samsung. Now I’m stuck without being able to use my phone while driving.

    Hey Folks,
Here is something weird on this subject. For the people who use their IPhone through the radio, if you use the IPhone charging wire to the USB port on the dash instead of using the IPhone through Bluetooth, the radio does not go bonkers. I live in Massachusetts and they kind of frown upon using your phone and driving which I have always hated. At least, this right now, is better than nothing until Apple or Toyota figure out the problem with this, we can at least use the IPhone through the radio. I used it this way all day and the radio did not re-boot once. I myself, might end up changing the radio to an aftermarket instead of keeping the Toyota radio. I might just let Toyota waste the money first even though, changing the factory radio to a new factory radio will make any difference.

I even saw a few guys say that it's the factory Bluetooth software version that does not work with the newest IOS software.

    What a mess.

Well, that I have not tried yet. I will try it once I get my truck back from the body shop tomorrow. I am having my TRD Pro decals put on the Bed. I guess, for the TRD Pro Voodoo Blue, if the decals don't get installed at the factory, you have to get aftermarket decals. I told them, that is the dumbest thing I ever heard.

    Also,
I will have 3 sets of decals (2 Glossy Black and 1 Matte Black) to sell or I might give them to someone who can use them. They will just need to pay for shipping. I pad 60 bucks for the Matte Black and 65 bucks for the Glossy Black. I am waiting for 2 sets to come from Moldova. I think they will finally get her on November 19th.

The iPhone 11 shipped with IOS 13. For those of us who upgraded to a new phone, we really didn't have a choice (I guess the choice was to keep our old phone, which I didn't want to do). I do not stream music through my phone, as I use XM radio for music. I have not experienced the rebooting phenomenon at all. I have experienced the disconnect after a couple of minutes into a call, though not recently (as I have been mostly working from home lately).

I upgraded to an 11 Pro and experienced the disconnect issue as well. I upgraded to the latest IOS, deleted the bluetooth connection from the phone, deleted the phone from the radio, and set up everything from scratch. Haven't had any issues since.

My 11 pro updated to 13.2.2, it worked for a few days without dropping the connection, sometimes up to 55 minute conversations, then yesterday it dropped during a 2 minute conversation.

I know, I stated I upgraded to a iPhone 11 well so I didn’t have a choice either. I’m saying for the people with previous generation phones, it’s usually best to wait to see what bugs are happening and when they are fixed. Ive had a few iOS upgrades screw me pretty good over the years.

My 11 didn't cause any reboots either. Was just dropping calls.
