Ya, I had an iPhone X and never had one single problem with bluetooth, sound, connection etc...since switching to 11 pro max I can barely have a BT call in my car.

I once had to delete my phone off of the Entune, and re install it. Then it worked.

It seemed that the newest update to my Pro Max fixed the issue. I had no issues with calls but the connection would constantly bounce while listening to Spotify or Apple Music since switching to the new phone. So far so good on the drive to work and to lunch today.

i updated to 13.1.2 last night. First call this morning dropped bluetooth 2 minutes into the convo. The fix didnt help with my situation. Hopefully another patch will be released.

So just to clarify my issue, as it sounds like there are some differences...for me it was just in/out breaking up like you are in bad cell service type issue, I dont think I have ever had a call straight up dropped.

Also of note, I always ask the person on the other end of the call if they hear and they do not...

The latest versions of iOS 13 resolved bluetooth issues. Probably just need to update your phone.

Ah that's unfortunate! I recall seeing something about Bluetooth in the update notes so I thought that might be it.

It's the Tacoma's BT system. I have 3 vehicles, two with aftermarket BT capable units. All my iPhones and their various versions have zero problems on the other units, one being very outdated. Meanwhile, I've had issues with all my phones with the 3rd Gen's stock system

    Same here.

Some folks are saying it’s entune, but this just started happening for many here. Does entune update itself?

I may just get a CarPlay unit and be done.

2017 Tacoma, iPhone 11 Pro Max. Drops after either 2 minutes or 5 minutes. Installed Entune crap software on my phone, and it then said there was an Entune update (so I patched). But was still dropping (this was iOS 13.1.1)

Yesterday I patched to iOS 13.1.2 in the morning and was out driving in the afternoon chatting with a friend (to test if it would drop) sure enough, after about 5 minutes it did.

Didn't have issues with my LG V30 (Android). I figure it's the 11 Pro Max having the latest version of Bluetooth and the archaic Entune system just being crappy.

I'm thinking about just pulling it out and putting in the cheapest Carplay system since I do everything from my phone, not the stupid Entune system. I just don't want to lose my backup camera.

Question for iPhone users: when you hold down the answer button to activate Siri, does it sound really shitty? Like lots of static/far away? I don't understand that, since it's on Bluetooth, it should be just as clean as when I listen to Spotify.

My entune decided to reboot mid call twice. Both times it would reconnect to bluetooth, allow the call to continue for like 2-3 minutes, then it crashes and reboots.

If it was iphone software issue alone, why would it be affecting the entune to reboot itself?

Does the call drop or does Bluetooth drop (call still active on the phone)? If the call drops completely, it is not a Bluetooth issue. Several of the above statements are saying the call dropped, which is a cell phone issue and has nothing to do with Entune or the HU.
