What phone do you have? I really hope Apple is working on this.

Open a case with Apple support. The more complaints they receive, the faster they will address this.

Previously had iPhone 6 never had bt issues before. Picked up iPhone 11 pro max and constant issues with bt dropping out mid call, every single call! Very irritating!

It hasn't been every call, but maybe half. Once the phone disconnects from BT, it is disconnected until I restart the car (although I have not tried to manually reconnect it).

I had a lot of random head unit restarts with my iPhone X, but zero issues since getting the 11 Pro. I am running the Beta iOS software, though.

If this happens while driving you can reset your head unit by holding down the volume knob. Then your phone should reconnect to resume your music.

My wife and I have iPhone XS WITH the latest updates, she has a 2016 Accord and has zero issues dropping calls or losing a Bluetooth connection. My 2019 Tacoma has been losing Bluetooth connection on the phone but the music has never lost connection. Don't know what the difference is between the Honda and Toyota with the same model phones with the same updates.

I just saw this post - have not read through all the comments - so if this info has been explained/brought up, disregard. I believe this is an issue with the Apple Software version you are running - not the iPhone model. I say this because, I carry 2 iPhones (8 and an X). The 8 has the newest Software Version downloaded (13.1.2 I think) and the X has the 12.4 Version. I have both phones hooked to my truck - I use them during different hours of the day/night. I have experienced issues - similar to the ones you are describing - on the iPhone 8, but none with the iPhone X. I'm on my phone around at least 4-6 hours a day in my truck - with some calls lasting an hour or more. I listen to XM radio mostly, but sometimes listen to Apple Music (only on the X Phone). I will say - I've had issues with getting music to play (since I bought the truck) if I use the truck's system (steering wheel controls) to request music - so I just say 'Hey Siri, play ______" and the phone reacts and plays through the trucks speakers and I see the album on the head unit. That works flawlessly and I've just stuck with that method. I normally do not immediately download the newest software versions on all of our iPhones/cellular iPads (we have 10 total), but yet I download on a few units, to see if there is an issue. I'm sure Apple will get this fixed, but while I know it is annoying, I feel fairly confident - based on my experience - it is not your new phone, but rather the software version...BUT I could be wrong. Good luck!

It's no doubt the software (OS) not the hardware. I have an open case with Apple regarding BT issues on my 11 Pro. Not with the truck as I've not been on extended phone calls to assess if it's an issue. My driving calls are usually very brief. My issue is connection with ear buds. Not Apple, but Raycon. They worked perfectly on iOS 12.x but won't connect with any version of 13. Apple had me upload the secret log file, and I've got a follow up call schedules for Monday.

It will eventually get worked out, but as I mentioned previously, anyone having these issues should contact Apple support. You can do this via their support chat function and it's relatively painless. The more people that complain and report these issues the more resources Apple will devote to fixing it.

Of course they don't. Even if they were aware of it, I'm sure they are still reluctant to admit it openly

I have an iPhone 6S and have had the music connection lost twice since a very recent software update. Like someone above said, won't reconnect until the truck is restarted.

Have you tried updating your phone and entune?

I have the 10s and never had an issue.

My wife has a 19 4Runner and iPhone 11 on the newest ios build. Her phone is getting disconnected from Bluetooth mid drive or call as well. Forced to manually reconnect. This has to be an ios issue and not a entune issue. Will probably take a few new updates to the iPhone to resolve. The new ios is extremely buggy.
