Exactly. I’ll keep using my $150 android I bought three years ago that does everything the new iphone does just as well 95% of the time. That’s a shitload of beer money saved over buying the new apple hotness every two years.

 

Yup, look up the info on the best OLED on a smartphone last year. Wasn't a galaxy device. Theres more to it then just the OLED you know, True tone/HDR and such that runs in the background.

 

But the resolution was also below Samsungs.

This couldn't be further from the truth. iPhones best and most expensive phone 11 Pro Max 512GB is $1,449.99 + tax. Galaxy's best phone 10+5G 512GB is $1,399.99 + tax. So we are talking a $50 difference.

 

Fair enough, their testing and methods seem legitimate. But regardless of what they've determined in their tests, I have a hard time believing that the human eye can detect any significant performance advantages over the display on a comparable Samsung device. Honestly, I feel like we are reaching the point where its useless to continue improving display quality cuz there is very little visual benefit to us, no matter what the stats look like on paper. In this day and age it's pointless to even award one device with having the "best display"
