iPhone 4

I am an iphone4 user but that iphone vs evo video is hilarious....I had the evo for 3 weeks, took it back the battery was so bad. I have heard it has gotten better but I am not upset about my decision.

Did anybody's camera mess up?

Got my free case from Apple today.

 

Yes, the camera has some major bugs. My photos are blacked out, the camera recognizes no input, blah blah blah. The camera really annoys me on it, actually the whole OS does. It sucks, they shouldve straightened alot more things out b4 releasing it.

I've been outta the iphone 4 loop lately, but how do you get a free case? My wife just ordered her phone a couple days ago.

 

There's an app called the iPhone 4 Case Program. Download that and follow the instructions. Says it takes 4-6 weeks for delivery. There's not a whole lot of info about each case in the app, so read an article (like this) to choose which one you want. I'm still waiting for the Speck PixelSkin HD myself.

FWIW... I haven't had the signal problem. I can hold mine in the corner and the signal just stays there. I still want the phone protected, though.

 

I haven't had any camera issues, other than Hipstamatic locking up which I attribute to the app not he camera.

I have now experienced dropped calls, apps deciding to close on their own, keyboards that won't stay open, apps that won't rotate, poor signal strength for data, etc. In comparison to my girlfriend's iP2 who can make calls and receive data sitting right next to me while my iP4 is useless.

As a mobile phone and email tool the iP4 is a piece of shit IMHO. As an overall mobile device though I think it's the best option available. I generaly prefer to stay off the phone anyway, but it has dropped calls for me now while making dinner reservations, Dr. appointments, talking to folks overseas for work, etc. and on that front it is VERY frustrating.

Just reinforces my hatred for Apple and all the apple-ogists. It's good to be right.

 

As noted above, I haven't experienced the signal loss when holding the phone in the corner. But I have had more dropped calls on the iPhone 4 than on my previous phone (Samsung something.. not a 'smart' phone).

Even though I haven't witnessed a signal problem w/ the phone, I still hold it with three fingers while talking on it, so there's no way that's the issue.

Most calls aren't dropped... just more than in the past.

I still have never had a dropped call on any phone I've had from Cingular/AT&T...

 

My wife's phone arrived at the AT&T store this past Friday. I was really surprised at how soon it was delivered since she placed the order last Tuesday the 17th. Anyway I do notice the 4's more sensitive to reception compared to my GS, but she hasn't had a dropped call yet and she currently doesn't have a case for it.
