    Also, most people don't realize 4G LTE is a GSM technology. Technically any Verizon 4G phone is a global phone, as long as the OS is setup for it.

    Why so mad? We simply prefer being able to touch a pic and have it dial from the home screen. Didn't know about the app until OZ mentioned it.

    AT&T's network uses GSM technology, Verizon uses CDMA technology. They aren't compatible. But like I mentioned earlier, 4G LTE is a GSM technology. And it looks like that soon VZW will be doing voice calls over 4G. So now it may be possible to do so. You would still have to unlock the phone, flash it to accept VZW's network, and somehow get VZW to let you use a competitor's phone on their network.

    I've heard trying to activate a VZW phone on a Sprint network (also CDMA) is a PITA, and vise-versa. It has been done though.

    I love my Galaxy S III but they are coming out with Galaxy S III Mini shortly and for those who don't love the large screens it will rock. And personally I prefer to have something that if it falls out of my holster and into the drink, my insurance will replace. If it is stolen, it is not hasta la vista baby. It is a quick call and my phone is Disco'd and a replacement one is on the way.

    My previous Galaxy S got bricked by an upgrade and fell off my belt at Pirates of the Caribbean at Orlando. I got a replacement. My Daughter in Law cracked her screen on her iPhone and they wouldn't replace it.
