I voted Galaxy S III. I'm not sure what carrier you are with but since I'm with ATT I actually had the S III for a day and decided to take it back for a Galaxy 2 Skyrocket. I loved the III, but it was too big and it would have been even bigger after getting a case. The Skyrocket is on the 4G LTE network as well and I'm getting downloads around town near 25GB. I also could not justify the cost difference as I did not notice a big difference between the two phones (other than size) after I upgraded the Skyrocket to Android 4.0 ICS. I do like that the III has a very long battery life, but it normally is not an issue for me anyway since at work it stays plugged in and it stays plugged in while I am driving as well. The NFC chip is a cool feature on the Galaxy phones as well.

I'm very partial against Apple because of the lack of expandibility and locked down features. I like the fact that I can plug in my phone to a computer and it sees it as a drag and drop hard drive. This comes in handy for just dropping all my music over to the phone. Also, the Google Play Store has apps that will allow you to download music directly for free and you can delete them from the phone as well. This drove my wife crazy that she was locked to iTunes to get anything done when had her iPhone. But after 3 weeks her iPhone took a dump on her and for some reason she decided to go for a Windows phones. She didn't realize though that Zune software locked her down as well. She just got a Skyrocket as well and she said it just felt like she had so much more freedom to do things than she did with the Iphone and the Windows phone (note: she is not a very technical person but she likes to have music, ringtones, pictures, etc. tied into her phone).

Either way I think both phones can get done what most people want it just comes down to personal preference and what you see yourself realistically doing with the phone.

Ah Apple, class leading price without class leading features.

Get the Samsung. It comes with nifty features like the ability to run whatever version of android you want, and being able to use removable storage.

IPhone's are fashion accessories just like iPods. If you want the most hardware for your money, look elsewhere.

On paper, the S3 is better in almost every way.

I would get an S3 if you are buying within the next month.

If you are not buying withing the next month, wait for the next Android phone release. New releases are a damn near monthly occurrence.

These threads always start and end the same. Big deal, iPhone's don't have 2 gb of ram, just more crap to drain the battery, big deal about the $29 connector, I watch fat Americans blow twice that much on a steak every weekened, no removable battery, that is quite funny, my first droid phone needed several replacement back pieces and 2 batteries because they kept falling out on their own, just more crap to go wrong. :crapstorm: :crapstorm: :)

Haven't owned an Android phone in a while so I may be wrong but you have to root it and download the version you want, voiding your warranty?

I work construction and never had a screen break on me until the 4, I dropped it 30' on to a steel beam. The screen still worked and I look on YouTube and fixed it for $25.

Voted for the s3. Droid has come a long way from what it was 2 years ago. The camera on that phone is great and so is the battery life. I personally am waiting for the Samsung Note 2 which should be coming out in November. It will have a 1.6ghz quadcore processor and the stylus features are awesome. If you can handle the screen size then id say wait for that.

IMHO you cannot go wrong with either the iPhone 5 or the Galaxy III. Personally I can wait till they make a 5s model and fix all the bugs like they did with the 3s and 4s (I have owned both S models). The Galaxy is bigger and thinner than the 5 but not sure how well I would like it in the pocket, much bigger and it won't fit (I know that's what she said right).

Iphone's suck! They get no reception at all. If you want to make a phone call with an iphone, you got to stand outside.

The galaxy is unreliable. Sometimes the screen turns wonky colors and it needs the battery pulled every day.

    Solution: Get a Blackberry.

I spend a lot of time in areas at the fringe of tower range. The iphones are always the first to lose reception. When connected to boosters, they are always the ones that still fail to connect. They have crap antennas.End of story.

I know a few people who have switched to the Samsung. They say they will not go back.

I got 3 S3's for the family. Awesome phone (besides battery life)
I would tell you what I like about it, but it would be long. Go with the S3, you won't be disappointed

(Verizon...as they offer free mobile hotspot)
