I have the 2016 Limited with the JBL stereo and I use my iPhone 6s to play most of my music. I use both iTunes Match and Apple Music to download music to be stored locally on my phone. I find this easier than navigating through the 3000 different artists I have stored in iTunes Match. What I'd like to do is navigate through ONLY my downloaded music via the stereo head unit, and avoid seeing my entire catalog. This has always been an issue in previous versions of iOS, as well as different car stereos in the past. Any one have a good workaround to ONLY see downloaded music versus my entire catalog?
Also, I'm looking for a way to avoid having to navigate through so many levels to get back to "My Music" on my phone? Right now, I have to go through 4 or 5 steps to get to my Library through the head unit.
These two inconveniences make it easier to navigate through the phone rather than the head unit, which is not ideal.

Make a playlist called "DOWNLOADS". Put the music you want in the list the stereo wil sort by playlist.
I use this for artists. I have every album by slayer for example. I don't love every song and don't want to sift through them.

It doesn't look like you can sort by "Album" or "Artist" inside of Playlists. I'm guessing I have to make a separate Playlist for each Album... So if I want to listen to one album out of an artist's 40 I have downloaded to the phone and added to the playlist, I have to do a fair amount of searching. Any other workarounds out there???
