Haha i didnt really do it because i needed to have the phone today, i did it because i had never done it before so i figured i would give it a try. I love it. it has a much more sturdy feel to it. the front and back are both glass, with the metal ring.

That 12 limit is gayyy. Why can't I put all of my games into a game folder. I hope this limit thing gets fixed.

I got the update and love it. Everything is a lot faster. And when you take pics it takes it super fast. Also has camera zoom now. My battery life stayed the same.

My wife downloaded the new OS to her 3GS last night. It's pretty slick. She only has 3 pages of apps anyway, so the folders aren't much use, but the multi-tasking is nice and the fact that you can put a graphic/wallpaper behind the icons makes it a little prettier.

I never understood why they didn't have the background ability before.

Those of you that upgraded to 4.0 with the iphone 3G - is it slower than the 3x firmware?

4.0 sucked horribly on my 3g. Slower, battery life died. There was no real benefit. I just reinstalled 3.1.3 with the help of the internet and re-jailbroke my phone to allow for much better things than 4.0.

4.0 also made it agonizingly slow when using it with my car stereo

When I get my new iphone, i am sure 4.0 will be nice

Thanks, I'll stick with my current jailbroken setup too then.

The 3G is very limited in what it can do using OS 4
The phone is almost not even supported.
