    Wanted to update this a little. To get around the issue with some apps not mirroring to my Apple TV, my new phone and plan allow personal hotspot. I tested this and with my Apple TV connected to my iPhone as a personal hot spot, I can access streaming apps on the Apple TV directly. So, I have two options, Airplay mirror to my Apple TV to display content from my phone onto my entune display OR, simply use the Apple TV apps directly. Pretty sweet!

    Anyone know how to change the Crux adapter from jumping the USB port over to the AUX IN port, I’d rather keep the USB function of the truck. I know I read in a thread about someone switching the pins in the wiring harness but not sure which pins and I can’t find the thread now.

    I got one of these Android 10 inch head units for a Kia Sportage, sooo slow it hurts. I found that the iphone will mirror, but not touchscreen capable on the head unit. Android phones will mirror and can access buttons through the unit's screen. Now, we don't use it very much and found it to be a waste of $.

    great thread, thanks for everyones input... i know this is an old thread so reviving it instead of starting a new one... is there any device out there now or mod to these devices that can take use of the tacoma screen touch function so you can control the phone from the tacoma touch screen. I know my wifes honda CRV works like this, basically, her screen becomes her iphone, all views and functions, including touch screen and voice commands work to the vehicle screen and touch control.

    Non-OEM can be done under a grand pretty easily. I got a 2020 so I have that without having had to DIY it, but I know there have been a few aftermarket threads on here for a 5-700 range too.

    OEM is bananas.

    ok, hum, 500$ i suppose might be doable... seems you can get the screen without the touch screen and full interaction part for under $100 might just have to settle for that.
