I have noticed that my iPhone will not automatically play my music through Spotify if I have been using the Youtube app on my phone, or another app that uses audio for that matter. This only happens when I used Youtube more recently than Spotify, otherwise the music plays automatically. This is on a 2017 tacoma.

I know op said he noticed the issue about 6 weeks ago and he said he has to unlock the phone and manually play music every time now, so I guess there could be something else happening.
