    Howdy,

I've been using OBD Fusion iPhone app with a WiFi transponder plugged into the port on my 2000 4Runner.

Not sure if it's lawyer speak or a real warning but they always say it can brick your truck.

I'm using old technology and wonder if there are any newer OBD readers I should consider.

    Considering ScanGuage II as well.

    Any advice?

    Thanks,

    Warren

    Really,

    No input on this?

I searched and could find no advice on the particularly.

Here's a couple more questions based on information I found:

The Bluedriver gets high marks on Amazon, says it transmits well to an iPhone. $99
Anyone use it? It it something I can pug in and leave? Lots of indications you can.

Scan Gauge offer any advantages besides constant monitoring? Seems like it may have a limited set of tools compared to smart phone... More of a hassle to mount and run wires it seems. $140

Keep my WiFi transmitter and iPhone apps! $0 I've always been concerned about leaving it plugged in though. Apps I have have to be customized to get things like transmission temp and always come with dire warnings if you do tat you'll brink your truck!

    Thanks,

    Warren
