    ^^^ This. The ATT/Verizon pricing tends to favor multi-line plans. For an individual plan today I'd recommend looking at MVNO prepaid such as Cricket or StraightTalk or other. If coverage is adequate in your area, I'd also look at T-Mobile.

    Reality is a lot of "unlimited" users really don't need it, and the carriers are looking for ways to encourage the high-consumption users to go somewhere else.
