The apps should be the same. Anything you can buy for the AT&T iPhone should work on the Verizon iPhone.

For you home, you can pick up a microcell. It routes the call through your wi-fi connection when you're within range of the cell. When you leave the house, it should transfer the call to a tower automatically.

i came from verizon here in PA and my plans a lot cheaper and i'm very happy with AT&T vs verizon. poor customer service and no matter what happens to your phone. "you're" at fault in their eyes. my coverage is usually better around here with my ip4 on at&t than my other phones on Verizon but it may and probably is different in other areas.

FYI, everything I've heard so far is that Apple will not be offering an LTE-ready iphone5. I work in wireless, I go to the tradeshows, I work with the people who actually climb the towers and build the physical networks.

People don't realize most places they likely go have or will have free Wifi. You cannot even send an SMS over WiFi with Verizon. use a lot of data but very little ATT data because I am in WiFi areas moat of the time.

Verizon has the higher priced data plans becasue you cannot do much on WiFi.....except use iFace or Facetime whatever it's called which ONLY works on WiFi. Too many limitations on Verizon.....ironically that maks iPhone a great fit becasuse Apple to is extremely limiting on what they allow and how you must use their devices.

If people have a decent ATT signal where they work and play I would get them. I have a $7.50 data plan (200Mb 1/2 price for a year) and rarely use even 150MB of 3G data,

That IS a big deal...as is not having the ability to send SMS Attachments via WiFi. As is not having the option for lower data plans.
Limitations others don't have are a big deal whether hardware, software or Carrier services.

ok well, for me it isnt a big deal. i hardly go on the internet on my phone as it is. Everyone just tries to find something wrong with competing carriers. at first it was verizon sucks because they dont have the iPhone. Now that verizon has the iPhone, they suck because they cant surf the web and talk at the same time. Who cares. if you love at&t so much, dont switch. It will always be a never ending battle.
