The touch screen is really responsive IMO, ive had plenty of touch screen phones and they would press the wrong thing. I love this phone, i couldnt get the Motorola because im not a fan of keyboard phones.

The screen on the ip4 is ridiculous. My cousin has one and it makes mine look like a 1970s screen in comparison. I think I will upgrade just because of the better camera/flash, faster speed and I can still sell mine for more than I can buy a new one for. ATT has been fine for me around chicagoland. I get dropped calls when I go near power lines. Overall, it's not that bad.

Actually the original "droid" was the G1. Verizon (not Moto my bad) is the only one to license the name "droid" from lucas that I know of.

That said, the iPhone itself is decent hardware (not great, not horrible either minus the antenna issue). The OS is what is horrible on it, which is backed by an even worse company. Google's Android is way more open, and didn't piss Adobe off. Froyo with Flash wut? Multitasking wut? Free apps gallor wut? Physical keyboard (Moto Droid) wut? Removable battery and micro sdhc card wut?

    Droid FTW.

Then why is the thread titled iphone vs htc with a link to iphone vs moto?

    no

side note: Droid is the name of some PHONES that Verizon sells. Android is the name of an OPERATING SYSTEM that happens to run on those phones and many others. Just because a phone runs Android does not make it a Droid phone...

It all comes down to personal preference. If you want ease of use and don't mind living under the thumb of Steve Jobs and AT&T then the Iphone is for you. If you want to hack your phone and customize every little aspect then Android is for you, but you have to live with apps that havn't been thoroughly scrutinized by a large company and just go on reviews and experience on what apps have issues. If the iphone were on Verizon and running android then i would be all over it. Its a sweet phone just dont care for the OS and the naziesque control over the appearance and apps on the OS.

Hence the " " and the subsequent description of Verizon licensing "Droid" to play on the shorter bit of an"droid" The G1 was the first android phone, while most people seem to think the Moto Droid was for some reason.

    os is personal preference imo

    Flash player- would be nice

Multi-tasking- again, it does it. why do you need 12 programs running at once doing nothing? You dont.

Majority of iphone apps are free

    i hate physical keyboards

Why do you need a removable battery again?

Removable flash, again, why? If you need more than a 32 gig on your phone right now, then you should be carrying around a laptop. I only have half of my 16 used and its filled with thousands of pictures and songs.

The new droid x seems pretty decent...not crazy about their decision to make it so damn tall and exclude a front facing camera. I thought my EVO would be obsolete pretty quick, but it looks to be holding its own for the near future.

I will say the build quality and the screen of the ip4 is pretty spectacular, but no way in hell I'd drop sprint and the tweakability of android to get that.

I loved my iPhone. Now I have an HTC Droid Eris and I love the Android OS way better. The only think I like better about ATT over Verizon is the fact that you can make calls and use the interwebs at the same time or send a text during a phone call, not that I do it much.

By the way, my battery life is way better than my iphone's ever was

    how old are you...12?

i promise you, i do not want or wish to have an iPhone. i dont see any gain with it from what i have now...actually i see losses more than anything.

and i have YET to hear someone tell me the pros with the iPhone over an HTC EVO or Moto Droid?
besides higher resolution screen, lets hear it.
