DROID ALL THE WAY!!!! :bananadance:The phones themselves are actually a lot alike. I just bought the Droid and its awesome. HOWEVER, if the iPhone were to be on Verizon's network, then it would be kick ass. I like the iPhone but HATE AT&T!

Ask visa or my wife. They both constantly remind me how much I've got left to spend.
Iphone has more apps but droid is getting a flash player in the next three months and will be better by far.

Browsing through both phones they are about the same to me. But since the Iphone is through AT&T... I would never have one. I chose Droid. However, I wouldn't own that one either lol. I'm one of the "all I need a phone for is to talk on" guys. I'm a firm believer in Keep It Simple Stupid.

While I'm a Droid user, its still not an iPhone killer. Can't wait until Verizon starts pumping out iPhones..... now, that action will be an AT&T killer.

The android apps will catch the iphone very quickly as more and more android hardware hits the market. the developers cant ignore android its gaining way too much popularity. Just since the Droid was released the number of android apps has gone crazy. will only get better.

I have a Samsung Moment, with the Android OS and love it. I'm fairly new to smartphones and did a lot of research before purchasing. The Moment is very similar to the Droid physically. Both have touchscreens and a slide-out physical keyboard. I played with both and preferred the keyboard on the Moment, and it was $100 cheaper at the time too ($150 vs $250). But it rang up at Best Buy for only $70! I didn't say anything...

Also, Sprint's plans are better IMO. Verizon's plans require you to add text and I think also data to their base plan. Sprint's base plan covered pretty much everything and the bottom line was about $15 less per month than Verizon.

Try out the Moment if you're leaning towards a Droid! My g/f has the iPhone and regrets it daily. She's got a cracked screen that Apple wouldn't do anything with. She can send it in for $200 or void her warranty and get it done privately for around $100. She says it was the temp difference between the warm apt and the cold outdoors that caused it to crack one morning on the way to work.

I think the numbers say quite a bit, considering the ratio of iPhones to Droids. I have experience with both and have had good luck with both. They operate in a similar manner, and both have their issues. Bottom line I'll take my Verizon network over AT&It's any day of the week. Faster access, more coverage, and better customer service. I have both carriers and have had them simultaneously for the past 5 years, so my conclusions are based upon these experiences throughout that time period.

For some reason, if/when I ever get a smart phone....I'd love to have an iphone just because of everything plus user friendliness, big screen, etc.

I just wish Verizon had them.

My contract is up in 1.5 years approx and I'm hoping there's something available by then.
