i hate to see the two compared. the iphone has been around longer and as a result the OS is more polished and smoother and less buggy. the physical design of the iphone is better i think. i have always loved the iphone, but for some reason i've never wanted one. so for me the droid is better. but in reality it wont convert and iphone user. droids are great for people who want options but for anyone dead set on an iphone, the droid wouldn't cut the mustard. personally i love the muliti tasking of the droid. the whole OS is badass

I'm a HUGE Apple fan but Droid looks pretty cool. I will definitely be considering one when this summer when my iPhone contract is up.

Damn, and I thought my 100 per month was a lot.

Personally I don't like the iphone, have used a few friends, and hated it. Then again, I generally don't like Apple or full touchscreen phones, so my opinion is a little biased. I'm a BlackBerry person myself though. If I had to pick though, definitely be the Droid.

Does anyone know when iPhone will be available on another (non-AT&T) network?

I had the 3GS; it was the sh!t -- super intuitive operation; but I hated AT&T so much that I got a BB with Sprint (much better network, and much much cheaper...BB is okay).

I'm a pc guy through and through...so technically i'm an ANTI-APPLE kind of guy...:D with that being said...I own a DROID...both the DROID and the iPhone has its pros and cons...but I prefer to write my own programs and be able to re-write the standard Android OS to my liking...

with the Iphone you can only customize so far...and if you got 20K to spend on music, picture, videos, and apps by all means go ahead and spend $20K...but I prefer to keep my $ in my pocket since those bastards got enough to spend as is...rofl...the DROID has about 10000 APPS currently on the market...a lot of the same apps that iphone gets we get as well...it all depends on who's the software developers...

I've got my DROID overclocked and it runs very stable...no shut downs no problems...I also edited the colors for most of my icons, changed the colors in the drop down display for notifications...I was also able to make some menu pallets change depending on the background color...as you can see i love the customization that droid has over the iphone...

I don't think I want an app that wipes my butt...cause that means the next time I want to talk to someone I will smell my own SHIT...buahahaha

you do know that the Google NEXUS 1 is a google operated phone...because of this verizon will be offering service but you have to purchase the phone directly from google 1st...its $529 without sales tax...and you will still need to get it activated...

btw I'm running the ANDROID 2.2 that's found on the nexus 1...I really like a lot of the updated features that the nexus has the the droid doesn't come with...:D

Comes down to personal preference and if the respective carriers have coverage where you need it. I have the Droid and I like it alot, never had an iPhone but I've played with them and they are nice to!

i have the droid and its the shit.

everything the iphone can do but open marketplace so people can make apps that alter the phone.

the physical keypad seals the deal for me though, i just like how solid the phone is

I love my Droid too. I dont even use the physical keyboard at all even though I thought I would alot. The on screen keyboard is pretty accurate and it had a "automatic word" function and automatically corrects spelling errors... Thank God! :D
