I've done some searching and it seems that the only ipod adapters are for the radios with the aux button. My radio doesn't have this and i would really like hook my ipod up. I had a fm transmitter but the sound quality was trash, so what are my options?

I just put a USA SPEC PA15-TOY in my 2001 Tacoma today.

    It this one: http://usaspec.com/product.php?ProductID=17

    I have this factory head-unit:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/TOYO...3bQQitemZ370259056955QQptZCarQ5fAudioQ5fVideo

I have no AUX button and it does not have the CD changer controls, but it works AWESOME! You do not use the HU display for any ipod titles/songs/artists etc.... so you have to use the Ipod controls for navigation, which is what I prefer. It also has an odd way you can use the HU controls to choose the first 6 playlists you have that seemed to work fine once I figured it out. You can still play a single CD without issue.

This worked with my 80gig video ipod and it also charged it. I also tried it with my iphone, but it didn't want to work. Note: there was a note in the instructions that the ipod cable in the box would not work with the iphone and some ipods, but that a new cord would be available in the future

I found mine at a shop going out of business. It was the last one and I got it for 75$. However, it had been sitting on the shelf for a couple of years. So... I will need to send it to USA Spec for a firmware update and a cable to work with my iPhone. It works with and charges my ipod just fine so I may just leave it
