IPOD adaptor not working, HELP!

I got this IPOD adapter but when I plugged it in, It didn't work.

Is there a brand that you guys KNOW would work for sure in a 2008 taco?

The plug at the rear of the radio fits in the slot but doesnt' click in and sits there loosely and superficially.

I pluged all connections but nada.

Hmmm....Are there any instructions with it?? Make sure that any dip switches or buttons are configured properly for the Tacoma.
If the connections don't clip together well and it doesn't work- I'd try to get your money back and buy a USE Spec adapter (Works great in my 2008 Taco)

 

Where'd you get yours from and did yo have to toggle and dip switches?

 

I got mine thru Crutchfield (I want to say it was about 139 or 149 when I got it) and it was made to be compatible with a large variety of stock head units from Lexus and Toyota.

There were certain functions that needed to be enabled or disabled based on what kind of car you have. The instructions had a list that gave specific settings for each model of car.

 

Mine doesnt have any toggles or switched either. Never had any problems with it working.

Call Crutchfield, they have fairly good Tech service to walk you through it
