    Hello,

So I am thinking of buying a used Ipod Touch 4th gen (my friend is trying to sell his 32gb) to install in my 2012 TRD Sport Double Cab Tacoma. The truck came with the Ipod integration cable new in the box, so I need to install that.

My goal would be to load that 32gb Ipod full of music from Spotify (my phone is 32gb, but with videos, photos, apps, etc it does not have allot of room for traveling music) and have it connected 24/7 via the Toyota cable. At some point in the future I would also like to put an OBD2 wireless device in and have it link to the Ipod so that it stores all of my driving data (mpg is my real concern).

Since I have only owned Android, I am not familiar with a few things involving the interface here. So I am hoping someone can help me out.

Will Spotify play over the USB connection and will my steering wheel controls work?
Can I leave it hooked up all the time and it will be ready to go when I get in the vehicle? Ipods have a long standby time, so the battery should be fine between drives.
Do any of the OBD2 apps for Ipod/Iphone allow you to export the data or view it on the web? If not I can always use an Android one, but I figured since a device would always be in the truck, that would be best to work with.
    Has any else done this?

Spotify: You'd have to try it, not sure if steering wheel controls will work.

Hooked up all the time: Yes. I use a iPad 4 Air 64 gig as my USB device in my truck. I leave it in there all the time. Battery stays charged really well.
OBD2: there are apps for Apple, but none are as good as Torque.
