My 2016 is suddenly not recognizing my iPhone. I usually attach via USB cable so the phone charges while I drive. It's still charging, but normally when connected the "iPod" on the screen would change to my phone name. It no longer is doing that. I've changed cables and it doesn't help. I've tried connecting my phone via Bluetooth but the phone suddenly doesn't recognize the car as paired, even though it was for 5+ years.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any work arounds or solutions?
    Thanks.

Not exactly the same issue but when my Bluetooth was acting up I just deleted my truck from my phone and then deleted my phone from my truck. I restarted both then paired them again and it worked.

If you haven’t yet turn the phone off and on. Next I would make sure your phone is up to date to latest software and if that doesn’t work reset your network settings and then try all settings if that didn’t work. Lastly you can use a toothpick to clean the charging port on the iPhone sometimes lint in there can cause issues

Took the birdshot approach, so I don't know which fixed it, but I rebooted the phone, updated it (which of course rebooted it again), and cleaned the port. It works like new! Thanks everyone.

Awesome. What I said above will fix 99% of iPhone issues I’ve found. (Ex Apple employee ;))

No money, all went to truck...
I have had cables go bad. But yes, restarting iPhones fix most problems...

fixed. this isn't specific to any brand, model, or OS. me included, no one ever reboots their phones. whenever there's a problem, first step should always be to reboot it.

I had this exact same issue recently, probably about a month ago. I swapped cables. Didn't work. Walked away. After a few days, it was working again. I do reboot my phone periodically, so this may have resolved it. But I am not sure. I will try this the next time it happens.
