ipod question

    Hi, I can't figure out how to do the following on my ipod. In my playlist i want to make a folder called rush and make sub-folders to put every album separately, i can't seem to be able to make the sub-folders, can anyone help me?

    I don't know about this on the newer ipods but on my old one you couldn't have sub folders in a playlist. you could create a playlist and drag songs to it but that was it. you should but able to just search rush in Artists, click it, then your next options would be the albums, then songs...

    Agree with Korupt....I don't think you can divide up playlists like that. Just use the artist listing insted...

    I plug the ipod on the computer and artist doesn't show up. I hate this ipod it seems that it is so much harder to put music on it the way you want it than any other mp3 player.

    You have to use iTunes (well you don't have to but make your life easier). What he means by using artist, at least on the old 3g videos and such you could sort by artist (not using a playlist). That's how I use mine too, it's easy enough. I usually just hit play on all songs and use shuffle but, if I want specific songs I go by artist. when you do that, it goes Artist > Album > Track.

    your ipod should sort everything automatically by artist and then album. if it doesnt - open itunes, right click on one of the songs and select get info. you can fill in or change all of the specifics from there (ie missing album name,etc)
