Ok guys I know someone out there in Tacoma World can help me. I just recently got a new Ipod shuffle from the wifey for Christmas and I was wondering how I can get it to play through the speakers of the truck?
I just don't want the kind that plugs in the cigarette lighter. I haven't had good luck with those in the past. Any kind of help would be nice.

i finally got around to swapping out my stock radio.
For $109 I got a Kenwood w/ IPOD controls, front aux port & usb. The kit also came with wiring harness & dash kit that looks just like the factory dash.
I play my ipod all the time through it & it sounds soooo much better than the stock.
I wish I did it sooner.
Also with the DIY threads here, I put it in myself.
Crutchfield gave me everything I needed.
Even as non-audio installer person like myself I was able to do it thanks to TW.
If you are going to pay $50 bucks anyway, why not pay a little more...that is my suggestion.
The stereo sounds great, much louder, better than whatever toyota put in there.
    The deck was

Thanks guys for the quick response. I guess I was trying to ask if the stock radio has aux outputs on the back so I could hook it up that way just to hear it though the speakers. But yall are probably right I just need to suck it up and get an after market head unit. Thanks again.

I have an 09 with the stock radio. It came with the Ipod hook up point stock. I finially figured out how to use it. And it does shuffel of play random.
It is all stock from the factory. hooks up to the back of the radio and terminates in the golve box.
