    Evenin fellas

If there is any standing oil in the tube when you pull the coil pack out then you're on the right track with the tube seals (and v/c gaskets).

If there is oil in the tube and you pull the plug out the oil will fall down into the cylinder. Not a big deal if its just a little bit.

when the tube seals are leaking bad there will be a lot of standing oil and you want to clean it out/blow it out with some shop air (and brake cleaner) so it doesnt spill down into the cylinder

The cooked oil residue on the spark plug threads isnt a big concern. Yes sometimes it can mean you have a pcv issue or oil loss past piston rings.. but I'd just keep an eye on the oil level over time, see if it goes down between oil changes.

Looking at the pics i see a little oil on the porcelin part of the plug so the tube seals could be worth doing

Pay attention to the rubber coilpack boots too. If they sit in oil they'll get squishy and you can get spark loss (misfire) arcing through the boot to the cyl head. New coils come with boots, sometimes you can find a boot kit, like Denso or NGK or something

Thanks! I really appreciate the input.

There was no standing oil that I could see in the tubes, but the oil on the porcelain was what concerned me. I’ve never noticed any oil loss either

There was a little oil on the boots, but I cleaned them off. Didn’t look like it was standing oil, only a small amount

I mean, a little oil in there isn't a big deal. Just blow it out, replace the plugs and move on.

But if the boots are getting squishy from sitting in oil or you see standing oil down in there then it's time for tube seals
