@irayfz6, I was thinking of bed lining my fender flares as well. I want to have some matte black to go with the new TRD Pro grilles that are coming out for the old 2nd gens like mine.

 

Do it! Personally I really like the contrast of the matte against the glossy paint. I didn’t know anyone made a Pro grill for the early 2nd gens. Looks sweet!

 

Yeah dude, wish the Chinese engineers could've made it into a grille insert, and not into 1 entire piece, but oh well.

 

Very nice truck. I can empathize... my grandson keyed my Venza right after I bought it around the entire car. He's still alive. I will post some photos, but it's frosted in Wisconsin salt/snow rust creator at this moment. It is quite tidy top and bottom and being bright red metallic, it does clean up real pretty. I do want to pick up some interior trim bits given 126K on the clock, but it is very presentable. I would also like to upgrade the seats, not that mine are bad at all, but they are a bit primitive. And then I can post 'em here for those folks wanting clean originals. I came from a Jeep TJ Ruby I owned/drove for 15 years and I did like the matt black flares and bumper you've gone to. Looks purpose built. Good job!

Did the A pillar Ram mount mod today.

 

Love this mod. I went with a shorter arm at 1"

I may actually end up trying that. I’m not sure I like where the phone is at right now. I’m gonna give it a few days and see if I can get used to it.

Installed this a couple weeks ago, finally remembered to take a pic of it.

Compass/auto dim mirror that I got from another TW member. I need to order the little trim piece that hides the wires one of these days.

The fronts still look great. The rears have a few small rock chips at the bottom. Overall, I’m still pretty happy with them. If they start looking too bad, I may look into Line-X or something more durable.

 

What did you use? Raptor?

 

Nope, just rattle can Rustoleum Truck Bed Coating.

I scuffed the flares with sandpaper, primed with Rustoleum automotive primer, and then a few coats of the truck bed coating.
