Well, there ya go. I was driving to work and couldn't help you out. Now that I am here, I have nothing to do...

If you have the money, I would recommend upgrading to the foam cell pro's. Especially if you want the ability to adjust height. They are really nice...

So here's my question about the foam cell pro's. I do a lot of street driving and only a little offroad. I also tow a 6x12 enclosed trailer maybe 5 times a year for 300-600 miles round trip each time. I dont want to sacrifice too much comfort but I do know its going to be firmer than stock w/ the lift.

Are the foam cell pro's a harsh ride? Our roads really suck in Cleveland Ohio and I dont want to rattle my fillings out every time I go out. Would the nitros be a better ride quality?

To me, neither of the IM4x4 setups were stiff. Yes, more so than stock, but less so than some others I have ridden in. The foam cell pro's are a decent ride. However, if you don't plan on needing the adjustability of the foam cell's then I wouldn't go with them. If all you are doing is street driving, I would say just stick to the foams or the gas traditional shocks they have.

I have the regular foam cells. I think they ride better than stock. firm, controlled, not harsh at all.

So the Foam Cell Pro kit is the only one out of the three that's adjustable in lift height?

Also, do these kits include a spacer to add lift up front? I have been reading this thread and many people said they come with it, but I dont see it as included on TRDparts4u.

    thanks.

Yes. The regular foamcells and nitrogen shocks are like the OME coilovers and require spacers to adjust lift. The foam cell pros are adjustable and more like the icon, King, toytec, etc coilovers.

The answer is yes. It is a small ring that goes on the shock body itself under the lower spring perch

Sorry we did not see your email to Metal-tech 4x4. Will look for it!

Im torn on the adjustable Foam Cell Pro's vs the regular Foam Cell shocks. What's the street ride like? I would like to be able to lift the front if the spring settling is too much afterwards, but Im afraid its going to be too stiff. If I get the regular Foam Cell kit, and buy the spacers for the front after the fact, will it mess up the current ride quality? I am also buying LR UCA's regardless of which one I choose.

They were stiff initially but did settle quite a bit (probably 1.5" total) and had to be adjusted back up. Now that they're broken in they are pretty awesome both on and offroad and I would say a tad stiffer than stock but not uncomfortable. IDK which cab you have but for comparison sake, I have a DCSB and also have a ~70lb skid plate.

Can someone help me understand about the spacers? I didn't get a definitive answer. Do the Nitro gas and Foam kits include additional top spacers to increase the lift on the front?

I was looking at this guy's post with the Ironman nitro gas kit and 265/70/17, and that's exactly how I want my longbed to look, but he added 1/2" spacers to the front from Toyotec? What exactly does the Ironman kit include?

No. You have to order the top plates yourself if you want. What you are looking at when it says "spacers" is a little spacer underneath the coil perch on the bottom.

If you want a lean spacer, order the 1/4" spacer with it too.

OME makes a great lift also. Our local Search and rescue has OME on their tacomas. I think i will set up a side by side test drive/comparison with them so they can compare the OME to the Ironman FCP setup. Its amazing difference what a 2.5" shock body can do!
