I think, that by drilling bracket hole lil bigger and attaching bracket to that leaf spring bolt instead of the original bracket hole, it might alleviate your issue if I understand it correctly. Imo, on my truck doing it this looks to relieve pressure on line and keep it out the way better. Just an idea.

A few years ago the conventional wisdom seemed to be that the target for lifted Tacos should be camber 0, toe 0, and caster: 2.5+. Not sure I understand 0 toe but here it is ...
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/alignment-numbers.408500/
IIRC new UCAs are needed to hit the caster above 2" of lift.

Before and Afters. Also today hauled 3000 lbs of topsoil for a few separate trips. Suspension still felt great and I was sagging a bit of course but still had a few inches of travel before fear if really compressing to hard stop. Even with all that weight handled curves very consistently and controllably at 45ish on windey country (paved) roads. No bouncy, swaying sketchy stuff at all. I do realize that was quite overloaded passed payload rating. I really like the suspension.... But I didn't figure it would handle as well as it did with that load in it. I completely expected half sketchy and it wouldn't have even upset me if it was.... It wasn't. It was completely controlled.

I realize this isn't quite scientific but imo another indication that this isn't a fluff suspension kit. These are Well valved shocks that really are heavy duty.

On another note I got under truck other day to recheck torque. Glad I did cause passenger upper bolt was finger loose. Just a reminder to get back under there after install and some miles and double check everything.

    that’s a great looking truck!

I definitely recommend checking torques as well (and locktite). If you have paint stripe for it, even better!

Sorry if I missed this elsewhere, I've been skimming through trying to find it, but how much thread do you have showing now? I'm thinking of adjusting mine. I finally measured yesterday and have 2 1/8" of threads showing on both sides. Wondering if I can crank 'em up a little more while keeping my ride comfy.

I’ll check next time I go out. I would think with non e rated tires you could go a little higher than I have mine and still be good too.

Editing to say, my measurements might not help 100% I have about 200-260 extra lbs constant weight with sliders, engine skid and bed mat. I don’t know how much that’ll matter.

Looks like about 1.5” of threads in one pic and closer to 1.75 I the other…. Both on the drivers side. That’s my truck from last week, it’s sitting about 23” from whee center to fender.

Thanks man! Interesting, so mine are already cranked up more than yours (granted, not by that much on the one side). I might see if I can adjust 'em up a little more. I have a bit of a rake I'd like to get closer to level.

When you adjust your shocks is this the way you're doing it? https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/installing-5100s-without-a-spring-compressor-video.190159/

Mine has about 1” difference from front to rear.
I left them installed when I adjusted them. If I were to try and raise them I would still leave them installed, just remove the wheels, take the set screws out of the ring nuts, break them loose, by turning the bottom then try and move the top one. I’m not sure how tough it’ll be but it should be possible. The spring seat is separate from the ring nut and should not turn. If that does not work you might need to take them off, but then I’d try and find someplace with one of those wall mounted compressors and just compress the spring to adjust, if that makes sense.

Yup, makes total sense. A local fab guy over here said he's been thinking about getting a compressor for 700# springs so I might see if that ends up happening and have him do it. Or maybe just go to Mule since I'd need an alignment after anyway, but I'm not too worried about it. Just been on my mind lately. Thanks for the info!

Thanks Hyrule, paint stripes, yes absolutely. I completely spaced that as an idea! Derp.

Out of curiosity, how them new a springs turning out over the b? Noticable change in ride?

I offer good ideas once in a while lol.

I think the ride has improved a lot. I had a buddy riding with me that has a pro, and while he said it was definitely stiffer, it felt better than his, along with not having the body roll and front end dip. He didn’t drive it though.
I’m sure with other tires it would be pretty perfect but I’m really happy with the ride now and have no plans to change it.

That's good to hear. I also got e rated tires. With e's I can definitely "feel" more road imperfections. Not really what I would say is stiff but way more feedback on minute things that non e's probably wouldn't even know we're there. What type of pressure have you found to be best for ride quality in yours?

    Edit mt's or at's?

That’s probably the better way to describe it, feeling all the imperfections. I’ve got Cooper stt Maxx, so all terrains. I run 31/32 cold. In summer I might drop to 29/30.

So finally getting around to actually testing out travel to exactly what size bumps and if, limit straps might be needed. I found in my measurements that fcp front and back are actually more extended travel than icons and kings "extended"travel version of shocks.... Now, I did see Ironman calls them extended in some of there language but I only assumed it was relatively small amount. I started looking for any info to confirm findings.

This video below of from a guy who, if you wanna learn something about suspension, lays it out and measures things on camera in lots of his other suspension videos. It this one he just points out measurement for fcp and billy 5100 and both have more droop travel than icons for example. Anyhow, he recently made this video confirming my findings and some of you might find quite a few things in it surprising and useful.

Video is completely work and kid friendly.

i ended up watching a few of his videos, wry straight forward. It was interesting to see how he mentioned that putting small spacers on top is not really a no no as you could read about on here lol. I might have missed some of it though.

Anyone know how the rear heavy load leafs compare to something like Deaver Expedition Stage 2 or 3? I'll be looking at around +600lbs to the bed.

Also anyone know that the current price on a stage 2 kit for a 16+ taco is accurate at $3439 with pre-builts? I looked at my past screenshots and july of last year this same kit was going for $2595 and with 25% it was down to nearly 2k.....

That's such a huge price increase wow, or is this just their dynamic pricing and fluctuates?
