Aftermarket UCAs help with droop, it’s not just about alignment.

I’m planning on the stage 1 FPC in the near future. I think I’m gonna go with JBA UCA but I’ll need to paint them... probably green to match the springs. I was gonna go with SPC but I’m not sure.
Maybe we should reach out and see if they’d do a group buy for TW... maybe I’d get mine sooner lol.

One thing I liked about the Ironman UCA is that it used the OEM ball joint. I know others do, but for the price it seemed like a good route to go. Time will tell for sure.

I installed the stage 2 foam cell pros and now I have a vibration when slowing between 20 -0mph. feels like going over mild rumble strips. Its been a month or 2 now and it bugs the hell out of me. I got it aligned immediately after install. Anyone have this issue?

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
That wouldn't be caused by your suspension. It's likely brakes/rotors/bearings. If it was your suspension it would get worse at higher speeds

sounds like it could be the needle bearing, unless you changed that out with the ECGS bushing but might not be that. Can check it out by putting it in 4WD and seeing if it goes away.

That said, my truck does a similar thing without a lift and I’ve read several others that have it as well. Could be a host of other issues or something normal, depending what you read. I’ve read the OR and Pros have a brake boost pump (or something) that may cause it as well. Mine only does it after I’ve driven around for a bit. Gonna have it looked at when I feel it’s safe to go to the dealership. Not driving much atm, so I’m not in a rush.

Besides that, are you still liking the lift/ride? Any other complaints? I’m planning on getting the stage 1 with JBA UCA (changed from planned SPC and going to paint them green).

I just installed mine, FCP stage 1...........the instructions says que spring seat to bolt center lenght be 9 1/64" o 229mm for tacoma, hilux and fortuner(boba says)......I was with a 2" front spacer lift, but now Im having harsh driving experience because it raised 1 1/4" more than before, so it's on a 3 1/4" front lift..........cv angles and all geometry to cranked up. What length did you guys used?

I was thinking that the angles of drive lines are not correct. I used the spacer that came with the kit too. I haven't balanced and rotated my tires yet, but they were pretty new when I put the kit on. It is weird that it started after kit install....

I had a rumble strip vibration from my driveline angles being off.

I put in the carrier bearing drop kit Ironman included and also did the ECGS bearing swap and diff drop placed. The vibration was there despite all that. So I put in 3 degree pinion angle shims under the leaf packs and played with the carrier bearing spacers until the vibrations were almost minimal.

No complaints at all!! Love the ride. Have been wheeling a couple of times already, many times I said,"couldn't have done that with the stock suspension". Its pretty awesome!

Thats great to hear. I’ve decided on these for a few reasons and hearing great reviews helps solidify that. Looking forward to ordering them within the next few weeks I hope.

Noisy rear end, clunky front end, and happy with purchase? Set the bar a little higher.

Did I miss the part about a noisy rear end? I’ve got 2500 miles on my 20 and the oem leafs squeak already so not too concerned if that’s it. Also, the clunking was not supposed to be normal. @Fletcher37 did Ironman send you new stuff to fix your issue?

Driveshaft angles. Might need an angled axle shim in conjunction with the carrier bearing drop. Not sure why Ironman doesn’t include shims.

I installed the rear setup (still working on front) and man is it riding high. It’s like 5 inches over stock. I ordered the high-cap leafs and might regret it lol. Some minor vibes at takeoff with just the 2.5 degree shims installed, haven’t installed CBD yet.

I also need to trim my exhaust pipe since it’s rubbing on the leaf pack, but that might be due to the Hammer Hangars I also installed while working on the rear lift.
