Ive only got about 20k on my kit. No performance issues or reliability concerns.

@Majora might have a few more miles on his kit.

I’ve not had anything more the some slight surface rust on the threads of the struts and lock rings. But o don’t think that could have been helped since they were contact points.

I’ve coated my truck undercarriage and all with Woolwax every year since I’ve had it, so that probably helps.

Anyone know where to get replacement UCA bushings? Mine have cracked and they are thunking around. Last about 40k hard wheeling so can’t complain. I wrote Ironman an email because I didn’t see replacements on their site just wondering if anyone has experience with replacement bushings.

Hey man, hope all is well. If you have the IM UCAs, you should be getting new ones through their recall of them “soon.” There is a thread around here with more info.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I have run Ironman for years on my land cruisers. They make a solid product and kit for the LC. My land cruisers are pretty much trail trucks, so I can say they can take a beating.

I wouldn’t hesitate to run their stuff on my taco.

I'm curious if the ball joint failure would be mitigated by making a water tight cap for the recessed area. My current understanding is that water intrusion through there is the problem

I am stuck between the FCP 2.5” kit without the leaf pack (just doing 2” AAL from Headstrong since I don’t carry extra weight year round and only a tent in the summer) or Elka 2.5 non-reservoir. Cost is the same for the shocks right now.

I really just want a plush, controlled ride. I had the Nitro on my GX before and it was insanely comfortable and road amazing. I’d like to get something like that or along the lines of the TRD Pro Fox. Anyone have a recommendation? From what I’ve read, it’s in my best interest to avoid the leafs and people are saying the fronts are still very stiff. I don’t have any bumpers. Most in the future will be a body armor slim bumper.
    Any advice? Thank you!

Anyone know of a replacement ball joint for these UCA recalls? I don’t feel like it will be anytime soon and there’s got to be a replacement other than waiting. One side the boot is ripped to shreds and I’m over it lol

I thought it was a factory style ball joint.

Does that mean I can pull one from a factory UCA?
