They’ve been really good at getting back to me also. I did noticed that their emails get delayed or gets mixed up.
Starting a chat online and then moving to a phone call as needed has been the best way to get issues resolved. I had a similar coil issue and they are working with me through this process. The customer support has been really good from my experience.

Question: on your rear driver side, is the shock tube touching the mounting housing? I just noticed mine is touching. I’ll have to snap a picture later.

Yes for me, both the metal shock tube at the axle mount and the plastic dust tube at the top frame mount are barely touching where they shouldn’t be. Passenger side has more clearance. I made sure to install the angled lower mount inward to push the shock tube away from the axle.

Do you mean at the bottom one bolt connection or the top with 3 bolted connection?

With mine, the ironman logo is facing in since i had a conflict with it facing outwards.

    interested to see

well that does not sound good. Is it too big to fit in the spot or maybe an every truck is different? Sounds like it might not be the latter tho...

That sounds like the front? this is the rear at the top. Need to look close at the bottom now too.

It’s just barely touching. I might take a Dremel and grind down the flange on the axle tube just a little bit. Would only need to remove a millimeter or two.

Yeah. Thought about just loosening and trying to rotate it a little too. Not sure if that would change anything.

oh ok, that’s not at all what I was thinking. I was think the back part of the front shock for some reason. That does not look bad, nothing should be an issue there. Not what you’d expect though.

Yeah. That portion really should be stationary the shock moves in and out of the tube. So nothing really to worry about other than cosmetics.
Thanks. Had to look it over again.

For Hilux/Fortuner and Tacoma(bubba wrote that) it is 229mm.......I put it that height and exceeded 3" of lift. How in the world with 255 and 260mm you get 2" lift? Are you on B coils and steel bumper/winch???

So after looking at your post, mine and a few others, I did a little more research. From what I can tell by searching measurements the Hilux sits .5 to 1 inch shorter, when center to fender than the Tacoma. It could be the fenders being different or other variables though. It looks like my planned measurements would be wrong, and need to come down to 230 and 235mm to get the height I was planning on.
I’ll also say I was going to document the install and put the oem next to the FCP and measure them against each other.
Anyone here measure the spring seat height with a ruler to see.
I’ll do more looking around today. It think this might be the issue, or I misunderstood the flyer, badly.

Not sure that last post makes sense anymore...
either way I’ll measure the old next to new one and go from there. My kit should be shipped next week. Fingers crossed.

Dialed out my driveline vibrations today. I used a set of 2.5 degree shims on the axle, the Ironman carrier bearing spacer kit, and an additional 4mm washer from Ace. Also grabbed some longer bolts for the carrier bearing from Ace. Perfect, no vibes at any speed.

Without the additional 4mm washer, it was almost perfect but had a slight vibe around 5mph when starting off from a stop.

I think you’re are saying the width of the two cars are different . Since the Tacoma is wider the lift is more following the simple Trig rule Theta x L = arc length so the L changes then arc length (lift height ) changes

Awesome. Had you measured angles before the lift? I won’t be able to, not the right tools. Where did you put the washers? Mind sharing a pic?

Id take the credit for that but I was thinking more of the heights of the 2ng gen and 3rd gen being different. I don’t remember if it’s due to suspension or wheel well/ fenders.

I did measure beforehand (spent $30 on a nice digital level) but to be honest, the math and the science behind U-joints kind of eludes me. Even after extensive Googling I'm not sure I understand the theory... So I decided to just iterate a bit and got it on my third try.

In this photo, working from the top down we have:
    1. The truck
    2. The gold-colored rectangular spacer from the Ironman kit
    3. An additional round 4mm-thick washer below that. Not sure where I picked that up, found it in my spare parts bin
    4. The carrier bearing mounting flange
    5. A metric fender washer
    6. A longer bolt. Grade not terribly important since there's not much load on this. I think the captive nut on the frame is M12x1.5 but don't quote me on that. It was one of the metric fine thread variants, not coarse.
