Did you use a piece of pvc pipe or something to set the seal?

I tried that at first and the piece I had just didn’t work. I ended up using a 27mm (I think) socket that came with a kit from Autozone that also had a 35mm socket, in case I needed to take off the hub nut.
To remove the cv, and get the lift done, I only removed the wheel, the two bolt under on the knuckle on either side of the cotter pinned nut, and the swat bar. You don’t get a lot of room that way though. I lost about an oz or 2 of oil. There is a lot less room to work with though...

Cool, yeah I am removing the hb and all, I have new wheel bearings and rotors and brakes, basically doing everything up front! I feel like I should order this clamshell bushing now  since I'm doing all the other stuff, I only have 81k on my '09 so I doubt I really need to do the CVs

if you’re going that far, might as well. All you’ll need is a nice prybar. The thing is, some never have an issue and then there are those that have an issue before the lift or notice it after. It’s a tough thing to decide on if your not having any problems right now.

Don’t forget the TW promo code, gets you free shipping. I think the code is TW. Might have to search that one though.

Anyone on here running the foam cell pro stage 2 w/uca on a dclb? I was looking at both front and rear performance load weight. Seems most have sb in here. Trying to decided whether to pull the trigger or not.

Not a Tacoma, but I had the FCPs on my FJ. Comparing them against 5100s, 6112s and the OE Fox on my Pro Tundra I would rate the FCPs above the Bilsteins. Not nearly as good as the 2.5" Fox though, but the Pro stuff is already vehicle specific valving so Im sure thats part of it. I did have to adjust the preloading down a bit to get it nice and to keep it from bottoming over speed bumps. Ended up with about a 2.5" lift, ride was nice and soft. With the preload too high it was just stiff.

As others have described. On the freeway the ride is firm and planted. Maybe a little springier than the off road suspension. Off road over washboard and rough rocky roads, it is a huge improvement from the stock suspension. Can’t compare to any other suspensions as this is my first lift. But I am satisfied, it seemed to check a lot of boxes for me.

Did you guys go with the 2.5" Performance Coils or the 3"? I feel like the 3" and then dialing it back for the lean/preload is the way to go with em?

Whatever it comes set at is where I left it. I have about 2 inches of rake with the DCLB. Does have the drivers side slight lean though.
