I also used red n’ tacky on the bushings. I have some squeaking too but no popping sounds. I’m going to pull a couple of leaves so when I do I can make sure the isolator pads are good and probably grease in between the leaves as well.

For those waiting for your orders, reach out and see if they’ll throw in the treads they are offering now. Maybe they’ll still give them to you.

Ironman says no Treds for me since I bought my kit at 25% and that's a better deal than the 20%+Treds. I understand, but darn it I wanted free stuff!

I think dust might make them squeaky. Mine were squeaking a bit during the summer but since it got rainy they stopped.

I think so too. Either way, I’ve coated my frame and leaf’s with woolwax for corrosion prevention. It works well as a lube for inbetween the packs as well.

Do you guys use the spray cans of Woolwax or do you buy the gallon and use a spray nozzle set up?

Either way it seems like a pain to get under there, spray, and then get dusted with Woolwax mist. I'm thinking of doing some kind of corrosion prevention (leaning towards Woolwax or Cosmoline), but I'm hesitant to get a faceful of it. I guess I could just get a respirator finally...

I used the spray cans. I didn’t have any issues with it misting. It is a pretty thick spray. It also does not really drip unless you over spray a bunch. I’ll try and get a video of it and show you later today.

Oooh, ok. I always imagined it would be similar to like WD-40 when you spray it, so that's really good to know. Thanks!

They do include a tube to use similar to WD40 and depending where you buy a spray handle. I’m not sure if it’ll still work but this code came from their FB page when I asked about a discount code- trywoolwax

I mean, you wouldn’t have this opportunity to even ask if you had already gotten your kit…

Also, I still owe you the Woolwax video, I’ll try and get it tomorrow.

Truuuueeee, but I don't want to harp on the fact that the kit is taking forever to come in because ultimately it's not something that's in their control. Plus I've only been waiting about a month longer than they quoted me so far. If I'd been waiting since April or June like those other guys, I'd absolutely feel comfortable pressing them on that fact. Anyway I feel like they're going to tell me that they still can't give it to me because I bought my kit before they upped the prices so the price I bought it for is lower than the sales price now, blah, blah.

No rush on that video. I have no idea when I'd realistically be tackling an undercoating. Seattle rarely salts since we don't really get snow around here so I'm not too worried about it for now.

So I came to this thread simply looking for a review on the rear Foam Cell Pro shocks. Any advice or input? Going on a 2017 3rd Gen w/ about 2" lift front and rear. The front is on OME struts and coils. Thanks!

Im not sure how I would review the rear shocks (leaf packs too?).

the truck definitely feels better in the back and I’ve had no issues with mine. The leaf packs did have a few days they squeaked then I sprayed with Woolwax and they’ve not squeaked since. Could have just been something inbetween a leaf. Besides that, I’m not sure what to add to the review… I’m guessing they can be rebuilt just like the fronts.

You should either just get OME rear shocks or swap out the fronts form Ironmans, which would be an upgrade assuming standard Nitrochargers and not BP51s. I know a lot of people mix and match shocks but those are usually either on very involved builds where they are trying to achieve something very specific or very budget ones where it makes more sense to cheap out on one end or the other. Foam Cell shocks have pretty different damping properties from nitro shocks so it could drive really weirdly.

On the springs mixing and matching isn't such a big deal, all that matters is the right spring rate. I haven't heard good things about the Dakars so probably wouldn't stick with OME there. Ironman leafs are decent but it sounds like there are better options, though I've personally only had Ironmans besides the stock leafs. Deaver seems to be recommended often.

Oh, you might not need to worry much about it then….but if you decide to here you go- Woolwax black with and without the spray tube

Yeah, I'm moving to Colorado next summer, so I have to do it eventually but I'm gonna go ahead and wait til the weather here isn't shit. So in like ~7 months? :(

Thanks for the vid! Definitely thicker and goopier than I imagined.
