Yup! If it's ready within the next few days (sounds like it should be) I'll probably try to head down at the end of the week to pick it up. My dad is in town and is going to be headed to Portland at that time so it'll be perfect to hang and grab dinner with him while we're both there. The timing seems to have actually worked out well for me.

@ohcaltexscar I will absolutely be posting pics! So stoked to be getting closer to putting this lift on. Still gonna be a minute to get the springs powder coated and schedule the install with my mechanic, but having the kit in hand is a huge step lol. I think my mechanic wanted to make an install video and he's letting me work on it with him so I can learn the process :D

Looks like the 720lb springs are in stock so I bit the bullet and ordered a pair to replace the current 800lb constant loads I have currently. I’m waiting on front and rear bumpers from ATH but think the 800 lb spring may be overkill even when those get placed. We’ll see, I guess…

I’ve been contemplating the swap as well. I was even looking into other coils to get to 650# spring rate but while I think it’s possible, it’s still too much of a gamble unless I see a set for really really cheap. I think that the flat end of the coils would sit fine on the lock nuts, like King & Eibach but I can’t know for sure. Good luck and let us know how it goes!

Ahh finally, a guinea pig. Now we can get some real answers!
We’re excited to see how the swap goes, keep us posted!

I was there, they were definitely taking orders and had displays stuff out. I definitely saw a person or two walking out with suspension but just because they’re out of stock on the Tacoma doesn’t mean they’re out of stock on everything you know it might just be that the performance load leafs or something are out of stock

Did you ever get the call to pick up your kit?

At one point @ohcaltexscar and I were talking and on one of the threads I found that the stock springs are supposed to be around 717 lbs. Did they ship the springs to you yet? Here is an excerpt from the tread about the spring rate. from the Toytech thread-
“We did send the springs from our 2016 out to one of our spring manufacturers to be tested for spring rate. We are doing this in hopes of developing a spring that will work well on the factory shocks and give a 2 inch lift. Similar to the 112-620 coils or the 521-600's we have. For those interested, i have posted the spec sheet. Spring rate on the factory coil did indeed come back at 717lbs/inch. Spec sheet is attached to this post”https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...2016-tacoma-presented-by-toytec-lifts.395798/

I'm on my third "thanks for your patience here's ten percent off your next order" e-mail.... wouldn't be so bad if I didn't think it was a shipping notification every time I saw it

(also: what good is a ten percent off coupon on a website that is perpetually running 20-30% sales??)

    What all did you order?

I noticed with the current sale, the suspension parts are not on sale. Like the leaf packs & coil springs.

Seems like Ironman is having some major supply/shipping issues... My buddy just recently gave up on waiting for the FCP kit to be in stock (has been waiting since July) and went with the Dobinsons MRR kit.. It was delivered to his door less than a week after ordering.

Yikes! They told over three weeks ago they had parts arrive but were backlogged on on assembly (I opted for pre-assembled coilovers).

    Hope they weren't bullshitting me.

Hopefully not. I guess it’s somewhat understandable since I don’t think anything is made in the US and it’s all imported from Australia. Who knows what they’re current crew is now and if they’re understaffed.

That said, it should be expected that they give honest faith estimates on delivery or availability.
Maybe you’ll hear back soon or maybe you can order them unbuilt and have them locally assembled or try it yourself.

They're not bullshitting you, they definitely have them in stock. I'm guessing they just have a HUGE backlog of orders to assemble so that's probably what's taking so long.

I'm lucky I happen to live close enough that I could pick up myself and that I didn't need them assembled since I'm powder coating my springs. I did finally get to pick up my kit a couple weeks ago! They apparently only email you once your kit is ready for pick up/shipping. Waiting on my springs to be done (probs next week) and got my install scheduled for 12/21. I want to do it sooner, but I'll be slammed at work for the next few weeks :ballchain:

Sorry for the delay in updates! Been a busy couple weeks and haven't been on TW at all. I have so much to catch up on lol

Also! For future reference (and I'll drop this in the mega thread too), if you want the 720# springs without having to call or email IM separately to alter your order, select 3" Performance Load when building your kit.

Just going black. Thought about trying to color match the Cav Blue, but it didn't seem worth more than doubling the price ($65 to $150) and increasing the lead time to get the custom powder in. I just wanted it to not clash horribly lol. The lady at the powder coat place was like, "so what color are these now?" and I said, "see that fluorescent green on the box? That's the actual color." She was like "...oh. I see"

Lol, yea… though with my black truck the green looks good.
The black will look good with the cav blue!
