    Stuff...
They're terrible with ship times. I ordered from my vendor and people that order 2 months after me got their stuff before me. All in alll, price and product was worth the wait

It was absolutely listed as out of stock when I ordered. The part that griped me was that it was listed as expected back in stock mid October. Sooooo.... yeah. heh.

Obviously with the world the way it is right now I wasn't expecting any miracles, and can appreciate the predicament all vendors are in. That said: it would've been nice to have some semblance of communication along the way.

And I'd also much prefer these shenanigans to tactics the likes of SCS employ.

I'd also like to understand this situation, because I just got my truck and the lift is already installed. It's been less than a month. I assume this is because the Toyota dealer I got it from has a backstock on some parts and they simply ordered the rest of the kit. But they did ask me if I wanted those green recovery boards and I declined. Hard pass from me. The local mall where I live has pavement for most the parking lot. I'm good ;) (In all truth I already bought some black ones even though I doubt I'll ever use them).

But yea, if I ordered privately and was doing the work myself, I'd be a little upset to hear this too. I dunno, at this point in our world, I am just happy to be receiving mail at all, lol. I gave the UPS, USPS, and FedEx drivers $100 gift cards this year and I'll keep doing it because this trend is not going anywhere anytime soon if ever.

If those boards were free as part of the kit you should have took them. I just broke my freebies on their second use lol. The maxtrax are still going strong though.

Liiiiiiiiiift!!! Hopefully I can get a better picture tomorrow, we'll see. Going in for an alignment at Mule Outfitters next Wednesday, but it seems like the lift has already eliminated the rub that was happening when I was near full lock in reverse and full lock going forward. Haven't gotten to take it over the train tracks by my house yet, but looking forward to doing so soon!

We (I hovered behind my mechanic for most of the install- he's a bro) did run into a minor issue with the rear driver's side shock. Had to grind down a little bit of the perch/bracket to seat the shock properly. Anyone else run into this? Just wondering since I hadn't seen anyone make note of it on here. The U bolts are a liiiiittle short if you're using an axle shim. I debated swapping them for longer ones for a bit, but ultimately decided it was fine since the threads were most of the way through the nut (guessing 8-9 threads out of a total 12ish?). Other than that everything went pretty smoothly. The mega-thread was handy, thanks for setting that up @hyrule_trd ! We definitely ended up referencing the chart for where to pre-load the coil to. It was great to have all the relevant info in one place to review.

I didn't have to do any grinding, but the rear shocks to come concerningly close (like <1mm) to the mounts on the axle tube on my 2nd gen. After a lot of use though, I haven't noticed any rubbing or wear from contact with the shock mounts.

That looks good! You’re welcome for anything that might have helped. If there is anything you feel should be added let me know.
With the rear shocks, I think that they are side specific. I put them on, well tried with the decals facing outside but they wouldn’t fit. The only fit with the decals facing inside. It could have been that they were put on the wrong way, I’m not sure. All I know was one fit one side and the other fit the other side. Otherwise the shock body would hit the mount and I couldn’t get them installed. Even though they looked identical… so I’ve no real idea.
At least yours is on now!

Haha! We definitely swapped them around to be sure. We started with decals in and then I was like, "hang on...if I was designing these, I'd probably want the logo out, so let's try that." They were definitely worse with the logo out so we were like "ok, logo in it is!" Maybe mine was just a slightly-off weirdo or something? :notsure: I had to go before the grinding actually happened, but it just needed a tiny bit to fit, it was so close.

My set is suppose to arrive tomorrow and I'll be installing on New Years. I went with the Constant Load springs, front and back, because I plan on my truck being pretty heavy when all is said and done, but with the way things are, I'm currently waiting on a lot of parts. As it stands right now I have an ARB twin compressor under the hood, Prinsu roof rack, Uptop Overland mid height bed rack with EX rack on it, and a Retraxone XR bed cover. Should I pull one of the leafs out to keep my bed from being ridiculously high until my skids and bumpers come in? I can deal with a stiff ride for two more months, but I don't want the rear to be ridiculously high. If I should pull a leaf out for the time being, which one?

    Thanks for any input.

I also went with constant / constant but I'm weeks away from having a chance to install so everything is still just sitting on the floor of my garage. Will be interested to see f/u posts from you on how things turn out.

My current plan is to take out one leaf but am kind of maintaining holding pattern to see installs from folks like you. Others earlier in the thread have mentioned taking out out up to two leafs from the constant load.

I recall it being the "third" leaf you want to remove which I'm fairly certain means from the top but TBH I'd have to go back through the thread to verify both of those pieces of information.

I plan to have steel CBI bumpers with rear swing out, steel skid plates, dual battery kit and magnusson supercharger, but some of that stuff is months away from being shipped so my weight will eventually increase drastically. I may pull the 3rd leaf out, and if it leaves me too high I can throw 140lbs of rubber bumper plates I haven't used in a while into the bed too.

I'm in a similar boat. Steel bumper up front, ~350lb campershell on the rear... lots more *plans* to add weight... but so far just that: plans.

Very happy with the lift. About 600 miles on it so far. Surprised the mudguards fit with no rub.
