Maybe for another vehicle? That’s the only thing I can think of…

The bushing kit they use is for several different vehicles and it is probably for one of those.

While not meant for it, they might fit the bolt on the carrier bearing, if you need an extra spacer in there. Though, if you need the spacer kit and those as spacers you’ll need longer bolts.

True to their word they 2nd day aired me a new shock. All installed now, took about 30 minutes and didn't even have to lift the truck.

Belated update! Got the truck aligned and getting the CMC done tonight. Mule told me I should get longer u-bolts- apparently they want to be sticking out of the nut about the same thickness as the nut. Seems to me the u-bolts that came with my kit (performance load rears) were never going to be long enough to meet that spec, even without the axle shim in there. I used the web chat function to ask IM if they stocked longer ones and they said no, only the Aussies have those, which is weird considering @shwilly posted that the ones that came with their constant load kit were way too long. Not entirely sure what's going on there, but I got some longer ones from Hotshot that should be arriving today and will go on tonight when the CMC is done. Also getting a set of spacers from the guy doing the CMC, but I have to wait till Monday for those since his new set arrives on Saturday. I was hoping to get by without them and the tires are clearing the UCAs right now, but only just so spacers it is.

Anyway, I hadn't been able to really drive the truck at normal speeds much lately because we got a ton of snow that just finally melted off the other day. Took it out for errands yesterday and went over the train crossings by my house at 45mph and whew!! It's SO much better than before. It used to be horribly jarring, even at 40mph. Eventually I learned I had to slow down to 35mph for a decent ride over them. Not anymore though! Back to taking those suckers at 45, baby! :bananadance: There's also an awful pothole in the curb lane by my house that I always forget is a pothole because it's usually in a big puddle. A couple times it's made me yelp when I hit it, the impact is so bad. Well I forgot again and hit it yesterday and it felt like nothing. Just a lil blip! Very pleased with the suspension so far and can't wait to take it out on some forest service roads in the spring!

Here's a nicer pic of the truck!

    Looks good!

I'm getting my kit installed along with the CMC this sunday and am super excited. I ordered constant load all the way around (removed one leaf... crossing my fingers there) so hopefully no u-bolt issues for me.

What size tires in this pic? I'm eyeballing 285/75/17 ridge grapplers right now. Holy crap tires have gotten expensive.

Fingers crossed for you! I might email IM later and bug them about it. Not super thrilled to have to drop more money on something that should have been correct in the kit. Especially because I had to also expedite shipping so it'd get here before I drive 8-10hrs to see family down in OR :(

Tires are 285/70/17 KO2s off my partner's Rubicon Wrangler, he wanted 35s right away lol. My original plan was for 275s to try to avoid having to get spacers, but I can't really complain cause splitting the cost of his new tires was certainly cheaper than a whole new set!

Great to hear of the overall improvement in your ride! Sorry about the u bolts. I didn’t have any issues with mine, even with a shim, when I had it in there. I’ll see if I can find mine and measure for you. I’ve got a u bolt flip kit now.

Weird! I've been wondering if I maybe got the wrong type somehow? The person at the warehouse/store who brought my kit out checked the part numbers on the boxes of everything against my order sheet so I figured they must have gotten it right. Now I'm not so sure o_O

Finally ordered my foam cell pro stage 2 kit. I should have done it months ago but oh well. I’ll pay the stupid tax.
And now we wait. I’ll get an ECGS bushing in the mean time

Here's my Tacoma as it sits now. Constant load front and rear. As far as extra weight goes I have the following:
    CBI Baja Bumper
    ARB twin under the hood
    CBI Rock Sliders
    Retrax bed cover
    Uptop Truss Rack
    Uptop Bravo Cab Rack
    Prinsu Roof Rack
Skid plates are currently in the bed and not installed, I just rant out of time and muscle to install.
I did not remove a leaf so prepare to be stanced a bit if you don't have much weight in the bed yet

I lucked out, no vibration in my truck after the lift. I was waiting to see if I was going to need it or not.

That's weird with the ubolts. The ones I received for my constant load definitely stick out that far. I had 10 threads showing before I even put the torque wrench to them. Mine are blue, and used a 22mm nut, not sure if yours are.

I might wait, we'll see. But I also like doing upgrades here and there that make sense. I'm keeping an eye out for an FJ transfer case to swap in because a mechanical T case just makes more sense to me and exactly how I'd want my truck to be

Dang, yeah I definitely feel like I must have received the wrong part then :annoyed:

The IM kit I got also had u-bolts that were too short. I thought it was odd since I only saw one model of u-bolts on the website. I ended up buying a set of Icon u-bolts that were longer. Worked great.
