So here's what I want to know. Are there any leaf packs that are on rock auto that anyone would recommend? I don't really want to add anything over 2 inches to my rear. Also would prefer to spend a little less if possible. Or is it worth it to go with the Ironman pack. Also I have bilstein 5100s would that even be long enough for the Ironman pack? I'm not sure how much the pack gives

Tinkerers Adventure YouTube channel is loaded with details about everything from UCAs, shocks, and all kinds of blah blah. It is the best site i've seen for actual info. The guy pulls things apart and actually measures stuff and he's exceptional at noting when things are his opinion vs what he's measured or seen.

Ive been impressed with his videos. He even gave me some measurements of the shims for revalving research.

Dang....good deal. The usual 25% off....but also 25% off installs w/purchase as well.....

Last time I was quoted 1200ish for install on foam cells, so pretty good chunk off with 25%.....

$1200 for just the install?? Shoot even with 25% off ($900) that's still way to high. Took me 2.5 hours to do in my garage with a basic set of tools.

Just ordered foam cell pros front and rear. I’m running 220-ish pounds up front. Bumper, winch, skid, rock sliders, and miscellaneous add ons that add weight like by little.

it was partially tinkerers adventures video that convinced me. I want the soft plush ride the bilstein 5100s don’t give me. I was thinking of getting 6112s initially but after watching his video it seemed like the iron man’s were after all the solution although I never considered them to begin with. Needless to say I cancelled my bilstein 6112 order and ordered these last night.

hopefully I made the right choice and I’ll be happy with them.

I think you’ll be happy with them. Most people are. These are made for extra weight.

Maybe it's just me since a lot of people really love these, but "soft" and "plush" are the last words I would use to describe the ride these give. I have the same setup too, steel bumper, winch, front skid, and sliders. It doesn't help. I do give them kudos for great corrosion resistance and ease of maintenance though. Not a bad choice by any means, but I wouldn't hold your breath about a fantastic ride.

I have to agree. I have the stage 2 FCP's. I wouldn't say these are harsh, but more harsh that stock at least for me. I have had mine for over two years now, and have grown to really love them. They make you feel planted.

well I guess time will tell and only I can judge whether they meet my standards. The 5100s have held up to a lot of abuse and I’m sure the 6112s are great shocks as well but it seems like bilstein builds these shocks for high speed driving on washboard roads with their digressive valving so in a sense I know how they feel. I’ve driven a 3rd gen 4Runner w/6112s and I thought they were very stiff. At the very least I feel that I will have tried something different. ‍♂️ I do have to say the idea of being able to service them yourself is really appealing. I’d imagine in its simplest form you could mess with the oil weight for varying results.

Nope, had to buy it. I have the IM one and one from Amazon. The one from Amazon worked great when the shock is installed on the truck. I couldn’t get the IM to fit in the spot without taking things apart.

It’s a great kit. Feeling planted is much better than it being a “soft” feel, if that makes sense. No more body roll or front end dip.

Any pics of the settled look available? Thinking of going w the 3” stage 1 nitro kit with spc ucas.. hoping 3” isn’t too high.
Don’t plan on hanging any metal parts off the front or rear end.

Well installed the Stage 2 Pro FC 3" kit about 2 months ago. Ran it threw some pre test before I got out with it this past weekend. Have to say. I'm good with everything. Wash board road waa smother than most and it felt like the wheels were where they needed to be. Planted to the ground . I did get a recall on upper ball joint the other day witch kudos to IRONMAN to stand behind their products. Will be installing Moog Upper ball joints. 20230909_103041.jpg

Thanks for the update I had a 2” nitro lift on my 2012 and it was the smoothest riding Tacoma most of my friends had been in. So I’m going to go with them again for my 2020.

where I am it’s 6 months of snow and salt and the only bad thing I can say is I found the shocks rusted quicker than some. I still got 7 years out of that set up.

with my new lift I will just fluid film religiously.

thanks again for the pics and words

I got the recall letter from iron man for the UCA's. I kinda like they are fixing the issue, I need to ask them if I can have any garage replace them, I can do it myself but maybe im feeling lazy

Still no complaints with my Foam Cell Pro Stage 2, I do wish I had a wrench to level the truck out. I think they were setup with a rake in the suspension

When I got my kit in the mail, everything was wrapped nicely but I noted the sticker on one of the front shocks was damaged. I emailed support to tell them, maybe their packing material could use some reconsideration but I wasn't mad. They sent me a replacement set with zero damage and a return label for the others.

This is what Old Blue looks like all settled in . There is the normal 200 lbs of recovery gear that always sits in the box at the moment of picture. 20230827_190406_HDR.jpg

Probably because the Australian designers only ever see snow on Christmas cards

Glad to hear you got some good years out of them, though... I lived in the desert when I installed them but recently moved up to Utah County where the seem to get pretty salt happy.
