Sorry. That stinks. Looking at the new UCA pictures it looks like the new Moog ball joint does not sit as deep in the cup? I could be wrong because I don't have the new to compare to the old, but those caps fit perfectly in the old UCA with no tape or modification. Looking at the pics of the new ones, it looks like there might be less depth leaving less room for the caps to seat?

So, still waiting on my new UCAs that were supposed to ship in October. Anybody else still waiting? Thinking I'll give them one more week before I reach out.

I'm still waiting. Mine are about a year old so I wonder if they will replace by date of manufacturing. My ball joints are fine though. I do need new tires and I was gonna get an alignment out of this. I need to drop my lowers to weld on some cam tabs since the last alignment shop flattened then out on one side, so that's on hold also.

Yep, I just put new 33s on my truck and was hoping to get the new UCAs in before an alignment. Not sure if I should continue to wait, especially since I paid for lifetime alignments at my buddy's shop. Still, it's a few wasted hours if I need to get it done twice.

Worst case take a measurement and order generic caps: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=hole+plug&crid=23PCQEOQ5GG2F&sprefix=hole+plu%2Caps%2C100&ref=nb_sb_noss_2

I just received my UCAs from the recent sale and I do not have Moog greaseable ball joints. They look similar to the original version.

Same here. Looks exactly the same as the old ones.
I didn't get any paperwork with my new parts and I lost my original stuff from a couple months back. Does that stuff say how to get reimbursed for install and alignment?

I didn't have the prior version, so these are brand new to me. They are stamped "V2" and came with some documentation about the bump stop spacer that you have to add - not sure if either of those things came with the original sets.

Got mine a week ago and was wondering the same. I still have the initial recall info somewhere. I'll dig it up and see if there was more info there. I'm thinking I'll probably install myself and I have a lifetime alignment package, so no charge for that. If installing myself means the warranty is void, perhaps I'll look for a qualified installer.

I'm not sure if we came to a consensus on what the actual recall included. I found this on their website so I'm guessing you could just swap the ball joint if you wanted. Screenshot_20231128_113410_Chrome~2.jpg

I got mine several weeks ago and they looked identical to the recalled UCAs. I reached out to Ironman and they said that not all replacements will have the Moog ball joints. Mine didn't. This seems a bit weird to me since the 'new' ball joints looked identical to the new ones. Maybe they are sealed better?? I bought the caps suggested above and they fit well.

maybe the moog were a stop-gap until they could get a revised batch of the original version.

Mine came in. Anyone know what type of ball joints these are?
