Might could. I'll have to keep a closer eye on it if we have a wet winter.

They are claiming LA Nina this year but I've learned to pay zero attention to weather reports more than, say, 5 days out anymore...

Didn't they say that last year, too?

Your area is always wet. :D

I was unhappy about the mud/splash guard being removed, I want to protect my engine compartment from flying debris and water. Plus the drivers side remote rez was getting very hot due to proximity to the engine and because the radiator hose nearly rests on the rez itself. So I went and bought an innertube (10$) some aluminum sheet insulation with adhesive on one side (18$) and some Toyota factory clips (15$). Also some 3m tape and high heat metal duct tape.

Washed the pieces to help the adhesive stick, don't tell my gal lol

Here's the stuff I used, with the part # of the clips
    [IMG]
I reused the factory holes so no drilling, I did the drivers different than the passenger because I put more insulation on that side

I saw someone on here had luck with this product it is called backer rod, a solid foam tube. you tuck it up under the overhang on the outside of the shell, it is very inexpensive and may be worth a try. not sure on the diameter...

My dog is a short hair but my seats still need protection. installed Coverkings up front, and this seat hammock thingy from Kurgo for the backseats.

Picked up a sweet surplus Molle panel on the cheap from the MilSurp section at my TrueValue.. , has a perfect pocket for my 40oz insulated water bottle that goes everywhere with me ,just need to get some pouches and other stuff to rig up to it.

Very nice build! I have two questions.

How are still alive after putting those inter tubes in the dishwasher? My wife would have killed me!

What tires and size are you running on the truck?

Ah what she doesn't know...... for now I've still got the wee stocker size 265/65/17s.... less Schwab backcountry. they are made by cooper kinda like the at3s. when I bought this truck I still had my beater 07 so the philosophy was to keep this one as close to stock as possible. well that went out the door when I sold the other truck, :)
new tires are in my near future, I'm on the fence between the mellow upgrade: 265/70/17s, the good lookin' but needs cuttin' : 285/70/17s, or tall and functional, a 16" rim with 255/85/16s.

    A 275 70 17 would work nicely too. Cooper makes an at3 in a c load.

Definitely steering towards a C rated tire as this is my DD. on my 07 I had E rated 285s and I feel as though the rough ride contributed to electrical problems towards the end of it's life. Well the end of my turn owning it. Stuff like I was able to remove the key and the truck would continue to run!!!
