    I am a “Grip”

Always hard to explain what we do so here is the definition on the internet lol

Grips' responsibility is to build and maintain all the equipment that supports cameras. This equipment, which includes tripods, dollies, tracks, jibs, cranes, and static rigs, is constructed of delicate yet heavy duty parts requiring a high level of experience to operate and move.

This among a bunch of other things. We are a lot of time referred to as the jack of all trades on set.

Shhh don’t tell everyone. The helmet never comes off!

    Ahahahaha!!!

The funny part is that a lot of people on the show know that I do metal fab on the side especially since I sometimes bring sliders to work to finish when I have spare time haha. People are always messing with me to build rock sliders on literally anything that has wheels or moves on set haha. Build sliders for the speeder bikes, build sliders for the razor crest, build sliders for the camera dolly, build sliders for the etc....

This is hilarious to me. Please one day just slap a set of your sliders on one of the ships or vehicles on the show, as a TacomaWorld Easter Egg.

IMG_3723.jpg IMG_3721.jpg Ryan does fantastic work and is great guy.

After searching for a Tacoma for a very long time, one year ago a dealer said he could get me that model I wanted, so I immediately sent Ryan a message for rock sliders and gave him a deposit. Unfortunately, the dealer promised more than he could deliver and could not get that truck. I canceled my sliders order and Ryan immediately sent back my deposit.

Flash forward to January 2021 - I finally purchased the truck and contacted Ryan again and sent my deposit. The sliders were finally installed a few weeks ago and I couldn't be happier.

Ryan is super friendly and does quality work. I enjoyed talking with him while it performed the install.

    Thanks, Ryan!

Dude!! Thanks so much for the kind words and awesome review. I’m so glad you were able to find the truck you really wanted and that I was able to get you set up with a set of sliders. It was a pleasure meeting you and getting the opportunity to work on your truck. Thanks so much again for everything

Had the absolute pleasure of getting sliders installed by Ryan. From start to finish he was responsive and professional. In person he's down to earth, and happy to share what he knows (a lot) about truck builds.

He also showed he takes pride in what he builds by taking the time to explain his design choices to me.

I got the 15 degrees w/kickout, low profile with shorter legs in semi-gloss black and think they turned out great.
