I don't believe so. Totally different scenario but on my 69 Camaro 18' fronts I run 45-47 psi on a stiffer suspension.
The only takeaway from running a higher tire pressure is taking away the plushness of the ride quality. IMOP.
But to each his own . Aloha

the door placard says 32 psi on my trucks so that's a good starting point. sometimes i lower the rear to 30-31 if i'm running with an empty bed. helps with the rear end staying planted with no weight in the bed.

I had a 66 gto street/strip car, never ran more that 32 psi in that car with normal driving...if i did the center of the tires would wear out first. Going to the strip was different with the 90/10 front shocks, and 10.50 15'' rear slicks...only ran 10 psi in the slicks, and pumped the front tires to 40 psi.

Your kidding right? the truck would be bouncing, and jittering all over the road. They originally had 35-36 psi in them from the dealer when i drove the truck 160 miles home. Between the weird transmission hunting, and very harsh non-compliant ride...i was wondering what i had purchased if the right decision that i should have got another tundra.
Setting them to 32 psi after i got home was night and day difference....was even better swapping to the goodyear adventure tires at the same psi.

I'll one up that. The wife was driving the truck and stopped by discount tire to air up as one tire seemed a little low. The next day, I took the truck and it felt like someone had changed out my suspension and put 2000lb springs. I checked air pressure and it was 46 psi. I usually run about 33-34. What a difference.

Its a fact you run excessive air pressure in your tires its harder on the front end components not to mention your tire will wear far more faster in the center. There's a reason for the manufacture stating the correct psi to run at.
