Is 384 DTE the default number?

Each time I have filled up this is the number that come up. Truck did not get the advertised MPG when I got it, KO2's did not help. But now am averaging 19 and change hand calculated, 19.7 on tonight's fill up. Just wondering if this is what everyone else gets when they fill up.

 

I've never really looked at mine but can next time I fill up, probably on my way home from work today. When it was programmed, they probably wrote it to take the amount of gallons the tank is and multiply it by the estimated combined MPG. Once you start driving, it's most likely set to constantly calculate from that point as you drive.

 

Every time I've filled up, it's told me 397 miles. I have the 4 cyl 2wd, though.

 

Yep, that's what mine says every time.

It's funny cause, it will always tend to go down slower in DTE than the miles I've traveled, until you get to the last half of the tank.

Then the DTE will track down faster than the miles you are traveling.....but it's always 384 to start after a fill up.

I've got as high as 21 mpg in my 4x4 TRD OR with 6K miles.

That was flat land, highway...

Where I live is fairly hilly and I get right around 19 consistently.

The warmer weather does seem to help with better mileage (as with most cars/trucks).

Mine goes to 413 each fill up. I use no ethanol fuel btw.

 

I have 2100 miles on my truck so far and it has always been 385 after a fill up. Today I filled up and it was 416. Don't know what to tell ya.

 

Mine changes depending on the last few tanks average.
