it took me a few months to find my 23 lunar rock DCLB Trd sport with premium package. everyone wanted a markup, i eventually gave in to a 1k markup. The market is different now, especially since you're looking for used. however, with the 3rd gens recently going up in price, it may be difficult to get a reasonable price.

^That's actually a great price on a new Tacoma. Did you get the sunroof?

Yes the premium package includes it. Its kinda small though lol. The best thing about the premium is the leather, its really nice

I can say now with 8 plus years of ownership and 210,000 miles on my 16 that the third gen is a good tough truck, just like every previous generation of Tacoma. I’ve replaced shocks, LCA’s, u joints, carrier bearing and two wheel bearings. I’ve put it through its paces off-road, buried the frame more times than I can remember and have done thousands of miles of hard 4x4 trails all over the U.S. If you can put up with it’s quirks the 3rd gen is a great truck and I’m sure we’ll see them on the road for decades to come. Hope to put at least 400k on my rig before I buy a new one. Cheers!

I say it feels like the 90s because I grew up in the 90s and this town reminds me of it. Most folk up here are so friendly, they actually have time to have a conversation with a stranger, nobody is in a rush, people seem to try to help one another. I don’t see these fkn hipster looking dudes up here, most people dress a bit old school, unlike people in metropolitan cities. Women/girls are not stuck up and actually smile and say hi to you (I’m happily married but it’s still refreshing :) ) It’s not a small town (~100k) but it feels like one.

I see a lot more older vehicles, although there are lots new Teslas, suburban, ford tremors etc. You don’t see these douchbags with a ton of overlanding shit bolted on to their truck and not a spec of dirt them. There are loopooots of them in Vancouver. I got a bit tired of seeing them.

From my experience most ppl that live in metropolitan cities nowadays are not friendly, they don’t care about you unless it benefits them and are just angry/annoyed. Thats not how it should be. I’m so glad we left, one of best decisions I’ve ever made.

Hah I bought at 6%, 3 year fixed. But whatever, I sold my condo that I owned for 7 years and got my into my first house. It wasn’t easy selling my condo even though it was only 8 years old, looked like new inside and I was in a very popular areas. Right now it seems even harder to sell a condo, people can’t afford anything nowdays and it’s starting to show.

37 payments is not bad :). I’ve always heard snout making that extra payment and how much it helps, my buddy is doing it.

I recently moved and started my own business so I’m slowly working on making those extra payments.

Man I’m so glad I bought a condo in 2015, one of best decisions. I’m 36 so if I didn’t have that condo, there was no way of me getting into a house.

That’s nice, that’s how I wanna live. Somewhere by the lake, have some cash and no stress :)

Geez, BC is nice and I like visiting but, the PG, Dawson and Fort St.Johns that would come to our shop in GP always said they were from the province of Bring Cash. I don't know how anyone survives in BC

We do get taxed to death here yes.

After living in overpriced and overcrowded shitlhole called vancouver (well surrey thats where i lived last), PG seems quite affordable in comparison :)

I moved up here like 8 months ago.

Makes sense, I grew up in a small town in the 80s/90s. Very rich snotty town mind you but I get what you're saying. We did have the new car douchebags though haha.

Condos seem to be the first hit if there's a housing downturn, at least in the past. That said part of it too is probably what you mentioned plus having to pay the HOA fee.

Even throwing $50 a month extra now is gonna help you. Can always bump it more when it is possible.

Definitely a nice springboard, my friend bought one long ago as a rental investment and sold it to buy her own place where she really wanted to be several years ago. Another condo but she doesn't want a house.

I'm 50 and couldn't imagine buying in now.

I gave my deposit when mine was still getting the Certified Preowned inspection. Saw it through a door up on a lift with no wheels. Haha

It’s been good. All 20,000 miles so far. No regrets. I’ve developed some lower back pain since about purchase (TRD Sport). I wonder if it really is the truck.
